Teen Mom- Yes, I'm addicted........
Who watches teen mom?
One thing that blows my mind is how these girls have a hard time paying rent, etc. I don't get it? I mean, they get paid to be on the show!! And most of them have done magazine covers, etc.
Amber I'm sure has a lot of legal bills since she's a pain in the butt.
And Caitlyn, hasn't ever worked. But even then, her and Tyler are getting their own place and don't seem stressed about it, so I feel like they may have saved money or something.
But Maci??? How can she not pay her rent, etc. ?? 1- she gets money from the show. 2- she used to work....
Thoughts??? Discussion???

I watched last night! I usually have to wait until H is gone, but my hips were killing me (pg stuff to look forward to, Moleson!), so I laid in bed with a heating pad and watched it.
I think the money drama is staged, to be honest. Like Farrah's need to get a loan for the boobs, etc. They're also probably pretty bad with money, so I can imagine the $$ they got for the show going pretty quickly, even with the astronomical sums that we've read about them getting. There honestly is a different mindset with some people. I see it a lot with my work in child support. People have really no money, and they get a $1,000 tax refund, and go blow it on a big screen TV or something. Most of us would allocate some to savings, bills, whatever, but that's just not the reality of what happens.
As for discussion, I feel like everyone loves Tyler and Catelynn, but I think Tyler doesn't really give her the support she needs. They don't seem to cuddle or be affectionate, although I feel like she's always reaching out for it. It makes me sad.
While E's on vacation next week I will be online catching up. I think Farrah is a dimwit. I like Maci but mostly because I can relate to what she went through with B's dad. I don't get the Tyler/Catelynn thing, he seems like an arse. I would have been gone a long time ago. Everytime I see Amber she is eating on her couch watching her daughter play or she's yelling. That cant be great for any kid.
I do believe they have money problems because being a responsible single mom (before) I don't think that $500 pair of jeans is more important than my rent or utilities or whatever.
Mary, does Amber have a job either? I don't think so.
Mush, I feel the same about Tyler. I think Catelynn is always reaching out and he's there but not really.
If they get paid what they say they get paid for being on the show, they should not have $$ problems. Is there any stipulation that they have to save the money for their kids or anything?
Jessie - Farrah has gotten better over the years, until she got the boob job. Really? Last year you literally couldn't afford a place and now you're wanting a loan for a boob job? What?
I like Maci a lot, I'm shocked that she just stopped working for the summer and up and moved though. I think that's crazy. I don't have anyone to support besides myself and my household and I couldn't stop working. Ryan is a total d-bag, just god-awful. I had to laugh and laugh at his text to her though, he is insane. You will see when you catch up.
The rent thing I also find very weird, Makes me think that they do script a lot for the show.
I LOL'd the first episode this season when Maci was like "I have decided to take the summer off from school and work"- Yes, Maci that is what all single mothers do when they live on their own and already complain about having no money. I wish I was able to do that and I have a husband who works.
I really can't stand Amber and wanted to punch her when she said that Gary never does anything for Leah. No honey I believe that is you.
Dammit. This just reminded me that I missed the show last night. I was looking forward to it and then turned on the All Star game and totally forgot!
I like this show, but watching it makes me sad. Farrah reminds me of my little sister. Except that my mom raises my niece while my sister blows her money on frivolous shiit like weed and concerts and vacations with her new BF.
yeah, Amber is crazy!!! But it also drives me nuts that Gary gives into her craziness. I mean, you two have had nothing but problems, and are constantly breaking up. You get back together for a WEEK and boom, you go and get a new place together?!?!? Yeah, that'll make it work!
Farrah HAS gotten a lot better. She actually wants to be at home with her baby now. And I'm glad things have gotten better with her and her mom. But occassionaly she still snaps at her mom, in what seems like, a unneccesary manor.
I like Maci, but yeah, I agree that most single moms don't take a summer off! That's usually when you can take time to work more than just part time and save some money!
I just feel so bad for caitlyn (not sure if spelled right). Her mom seems a little better this season, but I think that's only b/c caitlyn is moving out! I can't imagine the life that poor girl has had! I would love to see Tyler step up and be the support system that Caitlyn needs since neither of them seem to have the best family.
This. Becuase how long was her little brother away? I remember them going to get him a season ago I think. I wonder how many times she had to go live elsewhere or was in CPS care. Sucky life.

I can't stand Amber...glad gary is around at least he's trying, and Amber's brother seemed tired of hearing about their drama (I don't blame him). I think Ryan is a huge DB and love it when Kyle got PO'd because Ryan thought he was slow. Anyway, all of the girls need to get a job, Gary needs a job and they should finish high school (the ones that are still waiting on a GED).
