First anniversary coming up... no gift ideas
Soooo, because money is kinda tight right now, I have to budget ahead for DH's anniv, present. Problem is, I have no idea what to get him. I've tried to think of something not-lame under the "paper" theme, but haven't come up with anything. I don't even know what *type* of present to get. I guess there is no true right/wrong answer, but I'm stumped.
DH is notoriously hard to buy for because he doesn't really want anything, and what he does want is expensive tech-stuff. Any help/ideas/ what you are getting your DH
Re: First anniversary coming up... no gift ideas
Would he refuse a magazine about something he enjoys, though, like tech related stuff? I got DH a subscription to a gamer magazine a few years ago and he loved it, even though he refuses to read anything else. Maybe if it's about one of his interests, he'd like it. Otherwise, maybe you can try making him a coupon book on Publisher or Word. Just add things like "free 15 minute massage" or "get out of doing the dishes" coupons; maybe even add in "1 dinner on me" option. It's cute, thoughtful, and cheap!
I am getting DH tickets to an NFL game. We go to one game every year anyways, but this year I bought the tickets early to get good seats & scored tickets to his favorite team.
I really like the coupon book idea!
I found a couple of art pieces made on paper on Etsy of my DH's fav. baseball team & players that I'm planning on getting him. I'm also going to order the same art work MissMis posted with our song lyrics on it...but that's more for me. ;-) Before I found those things I thought about making fake tickets to a game stating that the fake tickets would be valid for real ones to a game of his choice. Are there any sports your DH likes to go to or any other events (i.e. tech conferences, comic book events, etc.) that he might be interested in going to that would involve tickets that you could pay for in the future?
I also saw online that one person looked for 1st. ed. books or autographed books of their DH's fav. author. I'm not sure how pricey that would be...but since your DH only has one fav author it's something you could research. :-) GL!
Today DH found some ideas for a short and pretty low-cost trip to Lake George the weekend after our anniversary (a make up weekend). We decided that this will be a gift from us to us, so no other gifts necessary. Which makes me happy because it's really hard to buy stuff for DH as well. He loves techy stuff and we can't really spend a lot more money right now.
My Blog
I LOVE Lake George :-) I've been their numerous times with my family. My parents live in IL - but love to visit up state New York, so we often go their for family vacations. I actually got my only tattoo in Lake George with my sisters :-)
