Mid Week Vents and Confessions

I know you got 'em. Let's hear 'em!

Re: Mid Week Vents and Confessions

  • Vent: I hate instructions that just come with pictures. I need words. We got our new blinds and the instructions just have pictures with one word, like "bracket." Uhhh ok that doesn't help me at all. I need something like "Take Screw E and put into the left hole in Bracket D, etc etc"

Confession: Since we uncovered our couches, we've gotten way less done. It was so much easier to get up and get stuff done when we didn't get stuck in the comfy couches.

  • We had 2 people come look at my Jetta last night and they both gave us an offer. We took the 2nd offer, which was only $400 below what we listed it for on CL. Selling a car is super stressful and my DH is not helping things. He gets so stressed about the "what if's" and it's driving me crazy. Last night I finally had enough and gave him 2 Benodryl before bed in hopes that it would knock his a$$ out and I'd get some sleep.

We have to meet the buyer today at one of our local Credit Unions since we owe a small amount on the Jetta. DH is freaking out that the seller's check isn't going to be good, that the CU is going to cash it and we'll be out the $$ or that the CU just won't take the check. The seller is military and the $$ is coming from USAA, I think we'll be okay.

We're getting $1k more selling it than the dealer offered for trade so it's a great deal... It just would have been so much less stressful to trade instead.

  • I'm stuck at work today and I'm secretly hating my boss and other co workers for it. I have a job where it's very easy to work from home, but we have a new client coming in today and since apparently my other co worker can't be trusted to speak like a normal human being and give a good first impression of our company, I'm stuck here to do it. That's literally the only reason why I HAVE to be here today.

DH's sister is likely moving in w/us for an undetermined amount of time all the way up to possibly February. I really do love her, but there are a million different valid reasons why this seriously annoys me & I kind of feel like a biotch for it.

I have CW's like that too. Luckily my department doesn't work with the public. Also, I love my SIL to death but we could never live under the same roof. I feel for you.

  • Vent: I am so tired of my one CW acting like my maternity leave is going to be a vacation. I don't know if he really thinks that, or just likes to give me crap, but it's not funny. Hopefully I'll get the last laugh by not coming back here and getting a new job! The reason he's so salty is b/c two of our outside sales people will be in the office while I'm out, and they're awful and really don't want to be here either. Most negative work environment ever.

  • This is a driving vent.. going south on san pablo merging onto JTB west, the onramp has 2 lanes.. one for ppl going south, the other for ppl coming north and turning left onto the ramp.. If you are turning right, YOU HAVE AN ACCELRATION LANE. It is not a yield. There is no yield sign. As a matter of fact there is a SIGN indicating that you have an acceleration lane. And it's a fairly long one, at that! I would say that 80% of people freaking STOP there. STOP! omg it drives me insane. Traffic backs up 3/4 of a mile at rush hour solely for that reason, and it really, really makes me want to hurt someone.

OMG, people do that on Hodges too, and I used to DIE every time. I'm so glad we moved!

My vent: MIL's mind is going even worse than I originally thought (like asking the same things multiple times a day, but several different things, not just one), and DH and FIL are either in denial or completely oblivious, and it peeves me off! 1) Dementia is nothing to mess with, especially since it runs in the family, 2) there are usually a host of other problems that come with it, so she needs to see a doctor, and 3) are you so blind that you really think she's just this forgetful? I feel like a biotch constantly saying something about it because I know it hurts DH, but I'm about ready to talk to FIL myself if he doesn't say something! ARGH!

  • Vent: I work with some nasty ass people. I just walked into the breakroom and it looked like a box of cereal had exploded and there wasn't a single person in the room. Then I walked into the bathroom and there was (eww) a tampon floating in the toilet. Really, people?!? This is a professional environment, get your shiz together.

  • I don't have anything. I feel lame.

  • No vents this week, I'm in a surprinsingly good mood.

Confession: I love the Teen Wolf show on MTV and I think all those little boys on there are pretty darn cute. (I checked, they are all 20 or older, so don't pull out a pedo card or anything, mkay?)

  • I confess that it's my 2nd day of being back in the office and I am here with you ladies on the Nest!  (But I have to log off soon and get back to work :( )

Vent: This morning I wanted to get ready and get in the office earlier than I did on Monday, but DH was asking me all kinds of questions about making DD breakfast: "How much oatmeal should I make her?" "How much milk does it need?"  I'm lucky he didn't ask me to pick out something for her to wear ...

  • I'll do another post, this one a confession. I was going to call in sick Friday because we're having DH's friends for a BBQ that night and I need to cook and clean the house. Plus I realized HP starts Friday so I was going to go see it during the day. Well now a CW scheduled off and my boss' friends daughter passed away at 21, so he has her memorial service to go to. Unless I'm in labor for real, I'm going to have to come in Friday :( Blah.

  • Mine is a vent I guess.  I want this baby out, I'm so tired of being so uncomfortable and the all day long contractions and constant pressure are killing me.  Not to mention the random feet in the ribs with little arms pushing my hip bones out all at the same time - you want to stretch? Come out!  There's a LOT more room out here!

Plus, I don't want to finish what I'm working on right now for work.  I just don't want to think about it.

I said those EXACT words yesterday!!! Seriously, tons and tons of room out here!

  • Confession: I'm avoiding the thread above this one because it scares me in such a way that it makes me want to close my eyes tightly & curl up in the fetal position.

  • The water line from the city broke while at work today. Imagine huge facility with limited water. Blah, sucked. Limited areas could wash their hands. I worked on a big proposal, instead of doing some inventory in the OR, so I didn't feel like I had to wash my hands. Gross...
  • Confession: DH and I have a master plan to move to Colorado. He's working on updating his resume and applying for some jobs out there. I've been looking at houses on Craigslist, trying to find my dream house in half million dollar homes.
