Anyone watching what's going on with the federal government in terms of budget and a possible shut down?

I'm following, and I don't really understand it 100% but it does worry me a little. Between that and our state government current shut down, it makes me worried a lot. Our company deals with federal funds and federal judges, and a lot of our clients rely on state funds now until their SSI kicks in. So I'm a little worried on how all of this could affect our clients, possibly our company, and mine and DH's jobs.

The government isn't going to shut down-we are just going to default on our financial obligations. So basically SS won't be paid out because we have no $ to fund it.

I haven't been following. It does disturb me, but there's just too much in my brain right now to try and pay attention to that...

no, I'm not paying attention -- its not going to directly effect me ( my job and my day will still go on )

if the government shuts down - its def. not the first time.

this is the exact reason DH got out of the DoD

Well that's good to know, but the money part still worries me. Then everyone starts dumping our currency, the stock market goes down and all our investments go down.
