QOTD

What do you consider your comfort zone?

Re: QOTD

  • Things I know. If I don't know something I'm not cool with it. That goes for scary movies, going places, meeting people. The most common one recently is going places with my child, especially by myself. But even walking through a model home yesterday with her made me slightly stressed.

Animals are also a comfort zone. At peoples houses if I'm socially uncomfortable (I can have a lot of social anxiety, but I make myself suck it up and go anyways) and they have pets, I pay more attention to the animals than I do the humans.

I supposed DH is a comfort zone for me as well. If he goes along with me, I'll do almost anything.

  • Anywhere I am not put on the spot or made the obvious center of attention (negative or positive) of course there are exceptions but I don't respond well to most compliments (I think I just don't believe people) and hate when people try to drag me into religious or political debates.

My comfort zone can change though depending on alchohol consumption. Stick out tongue

  • Home, DH, family.  In other situations animals (like Marjo) or children, I'm really good with both and seem to come out of my shell more when they are around.

  • Obviously in my home and in the home of my family. I am really in my element when I am with my family (moms side). Like Mar said, I am normally really comfortable when I am with people that have kids and dogs because I can relate to them about them.
    I heart Ben!!

  • My house, my aunt's house, and my classes that I teach. I'm easily intimidated by people and have lingering issues from my father where I always feel like I'm in trouble. These are the places I don't feel that way.

  • im a day late on this one...

babies and toddlers. I am way more comfortable in a room with 8 toddlers than i am with 8 adults i don't know lol my knowledge of infant and toddler development also creates a comfort zone for me.  People like to hear about why babies do the things they do.  Now, my knowledge also creates some humor because i am the first to admit that sometimes i have no idea why laine is doing something, or what she needs!

Animals.  I have met so many interesting people through volunteering at shelters.  being around animals opens me right up.

Wearing black.  I'm never more comfortable physically than i am when wearing all black lol
