Hey All! I'm a Denver Nestie that needs a favor. I would like to send a nice thank you gift to some friends that recently moved to Boston. So....in order to get them out and about, I thought a gift card to a nice restaurant would be a thoughtful gift. I'm thinking of doing something in the $100-$150 range, but since I live in Denver, I have no clue where to purchase a gift card to. Anyone care to suggest a nice restaurant in Boston (in the city preferably - as opposed to the burbs)?? I'd like to avoid chain restaurants and go with something very much a Boston original.
Thanks!
Re: I need a favor!
Do you know what part of the city they're in?
We have a lot of foodies around here, I'm sure you'll get some great recs. And I think this is such a thoughtful gift!
Well, my pricey favorites in the city are No. 9 Park and O Ya Sushi. You can check Yelp for reviews. Mistral was also good, though I liked No.9 Park more. There are also a number of good steak houses like Mooo.
Slightly outside the city in Cambridge (easily accessible by public transpo) is Salts, which I adore (particularly the honey lavendar whole-roasted duck).
Let us know which one you pick! And what a thoughtful gift. Have your friend join us on the board if she wants
