As of 4:30 I am no longer a USCG magazine editor. I'll be a full-time life coach!
I know not everyone can do this, and feel very grateful that DH has a good job we can live on while my business builds.
But beyond expressing my excitement here, I also want to ask for your help. I've decided I want to focus on helping teachers and will need to send them questions or have a 15-minute phone "informational interview" with them to understand what would be most helpful to them when they're already so busy during the school year.
I taught first grade for five years myself and would probably still be doing it if not for a horrible principal, poor pay, awful parents, and feeling like I didn't have a choice. I'd like to help other teachers find more choice and balance for themselves so the profession doesn't lose more awesome people like me.
So if you're a teacher or you know others who might be willing to help, kindly let them or me know at dianaforbes1 AT gmail DOT com. I promise I won't be hounding you for business after our questionnaire/interview - I just need to collect information so I can create self-help guides, documents, e-classes, teleclasses, workshops, etc. that would actually be useful.
So many on this board have been so supportive of my journey - thank you!

ANY teachers, local or distant! Thanks for thinking of connecting us!
Hooray! I remember you mentioning that you were leaving in July, and it's finally here! Congrats!
I'm going to be a teacher (just got my placement yesterday!!!), so I'm not sure if I count. If I do, I'd be happy to help. aprilandjoe2010 at gmail
