Help me decide on a baby wearing wrap

I know many of you ladies wear your babies so I'm looking for some advice.  We currently have a baby bjorn which we plan to use with baby 2 if we are out and about for a long time at a place that is not stroller friendly.  However, it's kind of heavy and a pain to use in the house, but I like having 2 hands free to start dinner, etc.

What would you recommend for a baby wrap?  Is it necessary to buy a big name brand like Moby?  I plan on using this only in the house and only occassionally for the first 6 months or so of baby number 2, so I don't want to drop a ton of money on one.  Something durable, safe and not super warm would be a plus, but cost is important too due to how little I plan on using it.

Thanks for any input you can give!

Re: Help me decide on a baby wearing wrap

  • Syd you can totally have my "moby."  It isn't the brand name, I made it myself, but it functions the same and is in really good shape. Its a neutral cream color.  I don't need it back or anything, was just looking for a good home.  :) that way if you decide you don't like it, you arent' out anything.

i can give it to you when we get together so you can borrow the bouncer.

  • Oh my gosh, I will owe you forever if you let me have it for a few months.  I can't believe how crafty you are that you can make that yourself, I am so impressed!  I can't make anything. :-(  Does this offer come with free lessons on how to use it? Smile

  • I have a Baby Hawk Mae Tei carrier, it's a little different than the wrap, if you want to try it out, you're more than welcome to barrow it! I wish I would have that sucker before the stupid baby bajor thingy! SO much more comfortable!
