Most of these are N/A for me since we did a honeymoon registry, but I'll answer the others:
What is your favorite wedding present you received that wasn't on your registry? A vase from a local NOLA atrist with our initials and the date of our wedding engraved in the bottom.
What was your least favorite wedding present you received? The above gift also came with a handmade wedding cross that made me
. I am not religious at all. As in the thought of putting a cross on my wall would make me feel fake and strange. The vase is displayed prominently, while the cross sits in a drawer. It's sad b/c it's beautiful - any other shape and I would have hung it in a heartbeat.
Did you buy it after your wedding? I'm going to go ahead and answer this and say yes because I buy everything I want all the time so I'm sure I would have. Shopping is my hobby, LOL!
When you go to a shower (wedding or baby) do you stick to the registry, do you buy something off the registry that you know the receiver will love or do you have a go to present? Depends on how well I know them. Even if I go off the registry I try to get at least one thing from it just in case. Only for my close friends do I go off the registry. FWIW my favorite registry thing to get is all the bathroom stuff. I have no idea why, but I've purchased the "sets" for like 6 different people.
What is one thing that you had to have on your wedding registry and now you don't even use?An ice tea maker. we have used it maybe once. I actually tried to get rid of it a few months ago but B swore up and down he'd start using it. I let it sit on the counter a few more weeks before I banished it to the basement.
What is the favorite thing you received from you registry? My pink kitchen aid stand mixer and blender
What is your favorite wedding present you received that wasn't on your registry? My aunt is a quilter. You get one when your born, when you graduate and when you get married. I dont love the color pallet of our wedding quilt but I love the style of it. Its a flannel rag time quilt. Its so warm and cozy!
What was your least favorite wedding present you received? Probably any one of the "wedding" picture frame we received. They just are NMS. B's mom gave us a particularly bad on. That had a wooden mat that had wedding bells cut out on it. Its just awful.
What was something that you had on your registry that you really wanted but didnt get? Calphalon cook ware set
Did you buy it after your wedding? No b/c B told me we didnt need any more pots and pans (he's lucky I didnt come home with a big metal chicken!). My ILs gave to me as a Christmas present this past year though!!
When you go to a shower (wedding or baby) do you stick to the registry, do you buy something off the registry that you know the receiver will love or do you have a go to present? I peruse the registry and look for something to jump out at me. If I dont see something then I think of cool things I've gotten over the year. For baby showers I almost always give diapers, baby wash, burp cloths and those mesh teethers that you can put fruit in. I always include a gift receipt too.What is one thing that you had to have on your wedding registry and now you don't even use? I can't think of anything. We mostly got money, but the stuff we did get was very useful.
What is the favorite thing you received from you registry? My kitchenaid mixer. I use that all the time.
What is your favorite wedding present you received that wasn't on your registry? We got a set of cast iron fajita plates from one of my BM's and her husband. Totally never would have thought of them, but they are nice.
What was your least favorite wedding present you received? Nothing we got was bad and this sounds horrible, but I was pissed that there were a TON of my friends who didn't get us anything. Not even a card and they came to the wedding. I don't care so much about the lack of gifts. It was more that they didn't even give a card. I thought that was pretty rude. I was appreciative of everything we received as gifts though.
What was something that you had on your registry that you really wanted but didnt get? I really wanted some of the camping gear we had.

I try to stick to the registry because I would rather get them something they want/need than something I like.Wedding frames should be banished. We got a big silver engraved Things Remembered type one. I have to put it out with my SIL comes in town.
What is one thing that you had to have on your wedding registry and now you don't even use? We didn't get much off our registry, so everything we did get has been used.
What is the favorite thing you received from you registry? My stand mixer.
What is your favorite wedding present you received that wasn't on your registry? a homemade quilt that was made by 3 generations of women, my mom, my grandma and my great-grandma (who passed away in 2005)
What was your least favorite wedding present you received? the picture frame SIL bought us. very plain and not pretty.
What was something that you had on your registry that you really wanted but didnt get? there were a bunch of stuff, new silverware would have been really nice. Or the bedding set.
Did you buy it after your wedding? we bought the sheets, but that was about it.

What is the favorite thing you received from you registry? Our china, though we don't use it often. I like to look at it in the hutch.
What is your favorite wedding present you received that wasn't on your registry? The pieces from a local pottery store.
What was your least favorite wedding present you received? A card from my Dad's ex-wife (who cheated on him and left him) that read "be true to eachother" Uhhh yeah lady, good advice, you should have followed it!
What was something that you had on your registry that you really wanted but didnt get? IDK, we bought most of the remaining registry items. I guess we didn't get ALL of our china, so that would have been nice.

Here's the thing, I hate baby shower registries. If I think that it's an outrageous registry I'll buy something small off of it. If it's a smaller registry I'm more likely to be generous and get something nice off of it or get something I know the person will like/use. Wedding registries are great, I usually shop off of them. For some reason wedding registries don't bug me as much as baby registries.
