Let's talk bra fittings...

Hi ladies!  Hope you all have been doing good!  ..... I need somewhere to go to either buy a good bra for a large chest (38DD) ... I have VS so please don't say there.  I was hoping maybe that someone could recommend something they like, or even a store where they have someone who can fit me ?  I always feel like I'm falling out of the cups, or that my under wire ends up in my armpit, so talk about uncomfortable!... I appreciate any recommendations you could give me!

  • I've heard people say good things about the staff at Dillard's & Nordstrom (I've never been, though) I hope you find something that works better for you!

  • Nordstrom!  I've been loosing weight & went from a 40/42DD to a 34E ish.  Bras at VS, Macy's, Ciacique (or however they spell their name!) do not support me and I flop out, plus I'm a little droopy.  I like the Wacoal and Chantelle brands.  They are not cheap but they do last longer than other bras and the support is amazing.  Once you're properly fitted you can look online, in clearance sections (dillard's section is great), etc.  Nordstrom Rack has most of their bras for half price-I think the styles or colors are discontinued or something.  Some Macy's have the really good brands but not as big of a selection.  Dillards has a pretty good selection but it varies from store to store.  Also, Nordie's anniversary sale starts on Fri & some of their bras will be on sale.

  • I just wanted to say I concur with everything daves said.  I love my Wacaol bras (again, not cheap), and can't wait to try the Chantelle.  I've been a 38E/F recently, and there is nothing like my wacaol bras.  If you have a good lingerie bag for your wash and take good care of them, mine usually last me about 4-6 months with regular wear before they start breaking down.

  • I have this one.  The lift & support is amazing.  Mine is a band size and one or two cup sizes too big now and it still provides good support.  One or two of the colors will be on sale for $50ish at Nordstrom's sale.  Yes the price is painful but it's a great bra.
