Re: *NOLA*
Lordy, it's a mess. LOL No really everything is fine around here. I am keeping us all busy - I take the girls to a playgroup whenever I can, and then when J gets home in the evenings we try to go to the park after dinner. During the day I barely have time to do anything on the computer - my free time on it is used to pay bills, balance the budget, and upload pictures. I need to get my butt into gear and get Gabby's b-day invites done - ack!!
My parents are in town this week (a verrrry random and surprise visit!). I am welcoming the visit tho and excited they are here. My mom taught me how to use the sewing machine they gave me for Christmas - woot! I can sew!! In addition, my cousin (my MOH/best girl friend/more like a sister than a cousin) just got a BFP and I am beyond excited. Squeeee!! I am looking for a part-time job but everything I come across is full-time or hours that I cannot do without putting the girls in day-care - which is not an option for us right now. I am pulling my hair out over little things like that. I kind of really want a job not only for the extra income but seriously just to have my own adult time away. Blah. Being a SAHM is tough, really. I have a night out planned for the end of this month at one of those "drink wine while we teach you to paint" type places with some old coworkers. So I'm looking forward to that.
Tonight after my parents left, J actually told me: I wish your parents lived here. Good god, that was SOME statement coming from him. Not that he dislikes my parents, but they can be a bit in your face and a bit much for him, so that was nice to hear him say. What he meant tho was how much affection they show the girls... how unlike his parents they are. How if they did live here they would be willing to babysit for us at the drop of a hat whenever we asked (I know they would - they did so for my brother when his kids were young), and since they are retired they could do that so I could work. *sigh* It sucks to have to see the favoritism of the other grandkids with J's parents. Ugh. ANYWAY!!
So yeah THIS turned into a book!! lol
And oh my, did you hear about the poor family in Kenner this week? I was thinking it was only local news, but J said it has made national news. Poor woman suffering from what can only be seen as postpartum depression killed her three children (12 yrs, 18 months, and 6 months) and herself. They lived two blocks from us, literally down the street. Terribly terribly sad. I have been seriously sick over it. Those poor babies.
Wow, that does sound like you are busy! Glad you had a good visit with your parents though. When we have kids I'm SO going to want to live by my parents. Too bad it probably won't happen, but I can dream.
I can't believe you're looking for a job. What are you, wonder woman??? Are you looking for something at night?
I did not hear about the family in Kenner. That is just awful. So extremely sad.
I love your new siggy by the way!
