Can you throw some romantic anniversary ideas my way?

Not a date but some romantic touches around the house or for later?  We're not bubble bath and champagne type of people...

  • Candles, flowers or some treats you two enjoy - whipped cream and strawberries? Some type of Spencer's bedroom stuff - edible something or other. Massage oils.
  • If you have a sidewalk or front patio, you could write "365 days of <3" or however many years you've been married. Two scenarios, depending on your taste: (1.) dress nice, eat fancy food on pretty dishes and linens, light candles, etc. (2.) Both get in your comfy clothes and listen to your favorite music together, eat comfort food on the couch, look through photo albums, play board games, watch a favorite movie, and go to bed early if you plan to get sweaty together.

    LMFAO!!  yeah, that.

I made my husband a card one year for valentines day--like, out of construction paper--& I made a collage on the front of pics I cut out of magazines (had to do SOMETHING with all those bridal mags sitting around!) like when I was a little kid, and in the inside I cut out pics of me and his 2 cats and wrote out a message.  It was funny and romantic and he LOVES it--it's still hanging up in his office many years later.

  • You might consider picking out a favorite photo from each year you were married. Make sure it is something you both loved. Then, using the online services such as walgreens, make poster size reproductions and put them throughout the house. Number them, and then write an explanation of how each photo makes you feel. The last photo should be a favorite from your wedding or maybe a risqu? photo of yourself. Whatever note you leave for that one should describe how sensual and beautiful he makes you feel. I would love it if my wife would do something like that.
  • You can have scented candles, flowers, pine cones, cinnamon sticks, aroma diffuser, aroma stick and scented potpourri. Different forms of smells like these acts as aphrodisiac for men and women; this could be a way of having romantic touch in your house.
  • Just celebrated our anniversary yesterday. The in-laws were visiting so we didn't expect anything romantic. I cooked a nice dinner (that somehow managed to set off the fire alarm), and after his parents went to bed we re-lived our first year together and all of the little moments. We then wrote anniversary cards to each other to be opened next year and we watched our wedding video. It was perfect!
  • Similar to another idea posted, you can use a company, such as Shutterfly or Kodak, and make a collage photo from each year you've been married. I did that one year, with a most recent photo being the main one and put a quote of ours on it. Frame it to match his office. Big Smile
