If you use a steam mop on your laminate

Here's the OP.  I would love to use a steam mop but it scares the bejeezes out of me.  We just put in the laminate in October and DH won't be ripping it out and replacing it anytime soon.  I thought steam mops could warp the flooring.  Have you noticed any ill effects?  We have a few scrap pieces in the basement so I could always put together a mock floor and test it on there a few times, but DH would kill me if I messed up our new flooring (more than we wanted to pay and it took DH and FIL a good 50+ man hours to put it in).  I don't see how it would leave the floor any more wet than my old Rubbermaid (I guess similar to a Swiffer Wet Jet maybe), but I don't know if it's something specific with the steam that all vendors warn against (we were always told NEVER to use a steam mop).
