Birthday party food help?
If you were going to a friend's house for a birthday party what food would make you say, "There is ___________ at this party! YUMMY!" ?

Thanks!

Smores cookies.

We're kind of going out.
Holy Toledo those look AWE-SOME.
Artichoke dip.
If drinks count, sangria.
Tired after a long morning of hiking and swimming.
This is best if you can make it right there, but it's always a HUGE hit whenever I make it. Like conversation stops for 5 minutes while everyone gets in line to get some.
Parmasan Crusted Brie Wheel:
Cut the wax off one wheel of brie. Dip the wheel in 1 beaten egg white + 1 T oil.
Coat brie wheel in a 50/50 mix of panko bread crumbs and shredded parm cheese + a little Italian seasoning (about 1 1/2 cups worth total).
Shallow pan fry the whole thing in veggie oil in a non stick pan. Flip when golden brown and repeat on the second side.
Serve with apples, crackers, or other dipping foods.
I've been meaning to try those cookies too. I have them pinned on Pinterist. In fact, I have a whole pin board of s'mores recipes if you want more ideas: http://pinterest.com/sberhow/i-want-s-more/
I also think this pizza dip recipe looks awesome. I don't even want to think about how much fat is in it with all the creamy, cheesy goodness, but it looks so good! I'm going to make this next time I'm invited to a party :-)
Mr. Sammy Dog
Me too! I made the smore's cookie bars and wow they are insanely good. Insanely rich and sweet but sooo good.
Tired after a long morning of hiking and swimming.
Taco dip/ Taco salad. I freaking love that stuff. I get rave reviews when I make coked Brie (which is just crescent dough wrapped around a circle of Brie and cooked per dough instructions. Serve with crackers and some blackberry, etc. jam.
Main dishes: any type of roasted meat or meat on a cedar plank. Cedar salmon or roasted pig...mmmmm
This. Or taco dip.

These are always a hit at my house when we have parties (veggie pinwheels):

YUM!
Yum. All of this food sounds so good.
At our last work potluck, someone brought in meatballs, similar to BBQ meatballs but instead of BBQ sauce, a jar or two of alfredo sauce. SO good.
I got rave reviews when I made these for a different work potluck. It's not the most appetizing picture, but let me just tell you they are SO tasty.

I was going to say a variation on this, minus the beans and served with chips. Guacamole always wins with me too.
Fresh pineapple at a summer party is great, but that's probably just me and not really a crowd pleaser
The last things I've made that people raved about were...
Annie's Fruit Salsa with cinnamon chips- the chips were surprisingly quick and easy to make. I made some changes to the salsa because I made it mid winter (which won't matter now because all the fruits are in season and cheaper), but I'd suggest adding some lime juice!
Sausage Cups- These are to die for. Not healthy at all, but so worth it. Just make sure the grease is drained really well from the sausage. I bake the won ton cups the night before so they're ready to go.
PW's Chile Con Queso
Caprese Skewers- So easy. Mozzarella, basil leaves and a grape tomato on a tooth pic, drizzle with balsamic vinegar
I also love the grape jelly/cocktail sauce BBQ wieners, the pinwheels from Sam's Club, mock crab salad on crackers, and I've been wanting to try these bacon wrapped jalapenos.
