TGIF!!!!!!! Weekend Plans?

.....Working. I'm on pager. EW. And weeding my vegetable garden. It's REALLY bad. Shamefully bad. And doing laundry...oh what a fun weekend I have a head of me.

Re: TGIF!!!!!!! Weekend Plans?

  • Finally, the weekend!

Tonight: we might be going to a baseball game with our priest. But he might not be able to go - he's having a procedure done this morning so it just depends on how he's feeling. If not, DH and I will probably just go for dinner and a movie.

Saturday: a friend's 30th bday party all day. It's like an all day event - starts at 3. They're going to have tons of food and games and stuff so it should be a good time. And the weather is supposed to be great!

Sunday: church!! We haven't been in 3 weeks so we're dying to finally go. DH wants to go into Boston for lunch afterward so we'll see.

  • Today:   Working 11:30-4, then need to get to the store, then making a double layer cake and cutting stuff up for pasta salad for the birthday party Saturday.

Saturday:  Finishing up cake and pasta salad, going to a friend's son's baseball game at noon, stopping by my sister's house to look at a changing table and maternity clothes, then to my other sister's house at 5 for a birthday party for SEVEN people in my family!!  Yeah we have a ton of summer birthdays, should be fun.  Then going to the drive-in with some friends and staying the night at their house cause we live over an hour away and the drive-in is late.

Sunday:  Possibly hanging out with MIL or Grandma before making our way back home.  Then relaxing and getting ready for the week.

Looking forward to next Wednesday to find out if we are having a baby boy or girl!

  • Today:  Taking DH's car in to get fixed...the brake light keeps coming on and it makes a horrible screeching sound when you back it up.  Later tonight I'm not sure, we'll probably just chill and watch a movie or something because it's been a busy week.

Tomorrow:  Maybe helping my parents put in their backsplash for their kitchen renovation, maybe just cleaning our own apartment (it desperately needs it).  At night we'll probably go to an outdoor concert with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra...they're featuring the guitarist from Genesis.  I might be a little geeked out about that...:-)

Sunday:  Church, laundry, oh the exciting lives we lead!

  • Today- Bre and I are going to meet a friend for lunch, Ill prob end up doing laundry and start getting things together for vacation next week

Tomorrow- more laundry and getting things together for vacation, cleaning and then tomorrow night DH and I are going out to dinner for our anniversary my mom is coming down to watch the baby

Sunday- our anniversary we're prob gna go shopping for stuff for vacation...what a fun anniversary huh haha

  • I'm spending the weekend at home....mostly by myself. DH is working. As of last night when he got home, he had 65 hours clocked for the week. He's been working 14-15 hours days all week. He's probably going to be working those house all weekend. (Yay for agriculture. Corn has to be detasseled when it needs to be detasseled. Unfortunately, it doesn't stop growing for the weekends. And since it's seed corn for the production plant he works for, it HAS to be done at certain stages.)

On the plus side, all the overtime he's making is going to be awesome. We are now talking about taking a short trip somewhere once he gets done before school and harvest starts.

I'll probably spend the weekend reading, working on stuff for school, and maybe working on my tan.

  • Tonight: My parents are coming over to help us pick up a new (to us) entertainment center that someone offered me on freecycle when I responded to her ad for a painting.  She gave me first dibs since we can't afford to decorate until I find a job. It looks nice and just like the one at my parents house. H is excited because its bigger and looks nicer than the one that I got in high school (which we are currently using). Will probably go out to dinner afterwards.

Tomorrow: Nothing planned! H is hanging out with his buddies to play Warhammer. May do some laundry.

Sunday: Party! My cousins, aunt and uncle are in town so we are celebrating. They moved 12 years ago, and we only get to see them once every few years. They came in for the wedding though and 2 of their sons were ushers for us.  I'm so excited!

Monday: DH's birthday and we're both off! Going to the DMV in the morning followed by lunch at the Japanese steakhouse. We may go to see the latest pirates movie too.

  • This is our only full weekend in town this month!

Tonight: Cleaning & laundry.  Our house is gross... but that is what happens when you are gone 6 out of the last 9 weekends!  DH wanted to go out... but I feel like we haven't been home at all and just want to do nothing (other than cleaning & laundry).

Tomorrow: Hitting up the farmer's market in town,  more unpacking (I procrastinate like crazy and it's driving DH nuts) and we invited some friends over for dinner.

Sunday: Sleeping in, church, studying (I have to teach gross anatomy for the next two weeks, and I need to brush up/re-learn some things), maybe going to hear a lecture on the changes in the mass that are starting in late fall.

  • Today: grocery shopping, cleaning out closets and packing, work at 3-11:30 (not looking forward to it)

Saturday:  Packing and cleaning again. Getting my nails done and then a couples date.

Sunday: Trying to keep my sanity in all this craziness.

  • My weekend started last night: we went to the drive in and saw HP7 parts 1 and 2!  Awesome!

Today: work for my class, family picnic and fireworks tonight

Saturday/Sunday: unknown.  Probably typical stuff around the house, maybe some work, cooking/baking.

Is 10 hours the norm for childbirth class??

  • Yep, either the "intensive weekend class" 2 days of 5 hours, or the "weekly class" for 5 weeks @ 2hrs each. Most places average out to 8-10 hours from everyone I have talked to recently....the damn 5 week class just didn't fit in our schedule, either b/c of DH's work and our vacation schedule, or b/c the last class or 2 is too late in my pregnancy (32+ weeks).

I mean, I am guess I just don't feel ready for labor and delivery yet, but it's one of those thing you have to do earlier...
