Attempting the "We Closed!" post for the third time...
I've tried this each of the last two days, but the nest keeps eating my post.
Closing went well! It took about an hour and a half but part of that was because my name was wrong on half the documents! The sellers weren't there and we had their lawyer contact them because they basically abandoned all landscaping on the house the moment we went into contract, which was a problem. We got them to agree to landscape the property within 10 days or we get $500 to do it. Yay!
In the last two days, we had a wall taken down in the garage - it feels so big and open now! - and we had all of the locks re-keyed to one key. They had five different locks on their doors! Tomorrow is the paint consultation, Monday starts the electrical work, and Wednesday the painters start. We move on the 25! Oh yeah, and did I mention I'm taking 6 credits right now? ::headdesk:: I'm exhausted, but we have a house!
