well f*ck a duck, it's friday

and i have never been so.tired.in.my.life.

surprised i have the energy to write this!

after a busy day at work yesterday, i went for an 8.2 mile run.  it was so.hard.  then i cleaned, helped with dinner, made 48 cookies, 40 cupcakes, packed, and used the rest of my energy to make whoppie with the mr.  note: do not make whoopie after running 8+ miles.

today i have the worlds busiest day, and 2 hours less to do it in than normal.  need to leave early, do errands and then load up the car and head to CT for a weekend of showers and bachelorette parties.

i just want to sleep.

  • Shauni- Everyday I am amazed when you post how much you run. I run 2 feet and I'm done. Good for you. Where in Ct are you going for the bachelorette party?

I slept like poo last night. Well actually I slept great till Greg came home at 12:30 from work and then I slept awful.

Embarrassing story of the day! On my way home from work last night I realized my phone was no longer on my lap. Not sure why I put it on my lap but I did. So as I am driving I kinda look around can't see it. I get home look allin my car. We don't have a house phone so I couldn't call it. I knew Greg was working late and didn't wanna not have a phone just in case. So I drive to his work which is like 10 minutes away with traffic. So I can use his phone to find mine. Thankfullly one of the other managers was on who I am friends with who helped me look for my hiden phone. We found it I was laughing of embarassment.

I think we need a home phone I am having such bad luck with phone lately.

Still have no idea if we are going to the game tonight.

I was just going to say this!!  Shauni your drive for running is motivating!  However, the motivation I feel from it, doesn't really get me too far.... Stick out tongue

  • Had dinner with some friends last night.  I didn't get a chance to confront the one that I was having problems with, however, I did find out some info.

She was off work all last week.  Went in on Monday and found out that she's being laid off after July.  She is getting paid through August, but since they are considered "partners" she's not eligable for Unemployement.

So although that doesn't explain why she's been a b***h prior to the last couple weeks, I at least know what's going on with her now and the stress she has.  I extended the olive branch this morning and wrote an email saying, I'm so sorry to hear about it and I didn't want to talk about it too much last night.  I'm hear if you need to vent or someone to talk to or help in any way.

J leaves tonight for a bach. party at a cabin all weekend.  I'm SOOOOO excited to have the bed to myself.  I have been so conjested lately and getting comfortable at night is damn near impossible.  I plan to take up the entire bed and throughly enjoy it.

    Can it be 4:30 yet??

  • TGIF. Hopefully, we'll be outta here tomorrow or Sunday. Jeremy's on a clear liquid diet, no more ng tube either. We had a "date" night last night where I went to redbox, rented a movie and we squished together on his bed and watched it.

Nothing else to report on. I need to go walk this track next the hospital but it's so effing hot I hate going outside. Guess me and him will get on a routine together soon enough since he'll be starting back with just walking.

  • I hate when I have a packed weekend ahead and I'm bone tired going into it. I wish you godspeed and the energy of a 4 year old. Go get 'em Granny! Also kickassss on your 8.2 miles.

Last night I got my hair done. Sayanara, sheetface grays. And I finally found a bathroom mirror, but of course the Home Depot I was in didn't have it so I have to go to another one to get it. Regardless, it's dunzo and I'm happy.

When I got home we took the dogs for a walk, then ate and watched some Kill Bill. I got in bed and read and fell asleep around 11:30.

Gearing up for a huge weekend of yard work. Tired in advance.

I might also be meeting my BFF's new boyfriend if they can fit in a swing by my house on Saturday on their way to MD. Hip to the hop to the hip to the hop to the hip to the hippity eee.

  • xtine - hahahaha. hahaha. We looked into getting a land line a hot minute ago and I was surprised at how $$ they are.

Mary - That sucks for your friend, but it does not excuse the months of blatantly ignorant behavior towards you. You were nice to extend the olive branch. Please don't put yourself out much more, I fear you will get slapped in the face again by her rudeness.

Emily - aw, cute date! What movie did you watch? Did I skip over that the first time around?

  • Yay Shauni, 8.2 miles is impressive, you go girl!

Yesterday after getting home, I had to cut down part of the lavendar bush that was crowding the baby lemon tree (it's baby because it's still growing) and also trimmed this other tree in our backyard. I also watered the plants on the side of the house and my jasmine tree (hoping the jasmine doesn't die off!). DH and I grilled steak and had these yummy cheesy potato things from a box.

Today - working from home and after DH gets home we'll head out for a 3-4 mile run.

  • Ugh. It's been a rough week.  We're trying out a new provider next week, so I've been trying to get everything together so it will go smoothly.    I just got a great lead on a potential job.  But I'm confused about how to tailor my cover letter to them.  They're looking for the same thing as the last job I applied for - I don't know how to change the letter when the first one was good.

Tomorrow we're having a last minute party for a friend's birthday.  And Sunday we have to have lunch with the IL's.  i know I could've gotten worse, but we have to have lunch with them every other week.  And it usually ends up taking 3-4 hours of my weekend.  I have other things to do - like clean the house or do some grocery shopping.  Instead, I have to sit thru lunch, pretend I understand your jokes and then wait while DH explains 3x how to do something-or-other on the computer.  I wish we could just do this once a month.  I see my IL's more than I see my own family.    Ok, rant over.  I know I'm lucky to have a great MIL...

  • Thank God it is Friday!

I found two jobs to apply for yesterday. I was ridiculously excited about the one since I knew the therapists, staff, and owner there. I emailed the owner this morning to let him know that I applied and he replied that the job posted is for a new clinic and that he is moving his clinic to another location. Bummer... It would still be a great opportunity for me so please send job dust my way!!

I worked last night and am exhausted this morning. I work in a restaurant and it has been so busy for the last two weeks I have gotten my ass kicked night after night. It is a good thing for my bank account though.

    Fourth Anniversary

    TGIF from me, too!

Got home last night from work, having stayed with my parents the night before to work at my other office, and found H had done less than nothing.  Less than nothing = leaving his dirty dishes by the side of the sink instead of putting them in the dishwasher.  And this is when there's a ton of stuff to do to put the house back together.  Grr.  Then he gave me crap when I described the errands I needed to go do, because he wanted me to work with him on the crap he didn't do the night before.  Double grr.  He is not normally like this, and it ticked me off royally.  At least he partially made up for it by picking up while I was doing errands.

We've got a busy weekend as well; sounds like lots of us will be running around!  Meeting BFF/bridesman's almost 5 year old son tomorrow, and so excited about it.  It's his first time coming to CA to visit his dad, and he's here for almost 5 weeks.  Sunday, H and I are going sailing on the SF Bay with my parents (it was a gift to my dad), my uncle and his partner.  Uncles are picking a lunch spot in SF for us to go to afterwards.  Yay!

  • TGIF!

Tonight H and I are supposed to go to a birthday party for one of our friends and I'm minorly excited about it.  He is graduated from college but still acts like he lives in the dorms (facebook event talked about kegs of beer and that he'll have places for everyone to crash, etc).  Maybe I'm just getting really old but I have no interest in being a drunken slob, especially since H is insisting I drive so HE can have a few drinks, which means I'll either be the least drunk one there or be stuck spending the night.  I would prefer to sleep with my husband in my own bed in my own house instead of on someone's floor.  I think we'll go for a couple hours and make an appearance but leave before it becomes too out of control.

Other than that, I think we've got a relaxing weekend ahead.  Not too much else planned after being gone the past two weekends in a row, so I will probably just catch up on things around the house and maybe go out for dinner and Coldstone Creamery one night with some other friends.

  • Go Shauni! Go Shauni! It's yo birthday! Get busy!

I'm glad DH doesn't know how to get on this post, because if he starts hearing that someone is giving up whoopie after a long run, he'll start getting ideas.

Today started off lame. Last night we left my car at my parents since we went to SF to get dinner and go to a show. DH was supposed to drive me to work and pick me up after so we could head straight to Tahoe. We get into his car at 7:45, nothing. The battery is dead. We had to get our friends to come by and jump start the car so I could make it to work. I was two hours late. :(

But DH took the car to the dealership, they ran some tests, it was just the battery (since my oh so smart DH spent an hour yesterday sitting in his car listening to the radio) and everything is fine with the car.

Ugh. But we're still going to tahoe, and now my work day is only 6 hours!!

  • Shauni you rock my sox!
