Hi girls- I've been pretty MIA this week, but doing my best to keep up to date on what you all are up to via the board (all the bumps look great, congrats on the house buying Jacki, and all the other great news going on!). Baby is still all cozied up in my belly unfortunately- I was really hope that this would be the week. I know, I know, there's nothing I can do about it, but I do have an appointment with my doctor today to see what's going on (if anything), so if you could all spare a little Juju to get this little love moving, it'd be much appreciated! I'll let you all know how it goes when we get out, and hopefully we'll have a better idea of what's happening. Thanks much!

A little TMI, but maybe your appt will go something like mine. I was 36 weeks, had my normal internal and I was sealed up tight. Well she must have done something in there because the next day my water broke.

Hope things get moving soon and will be thinking good thoughts! I know it's easier said than done, but I'd say just trying to relax and let nature take it's course. There's not really much that you can do except wait unfortuantely (I don't really believe any of those old wive's tales). I think the doctor did you a disservice a few weeks ago when she said you were ready to go - I felt bad that she said that because they really don't know...you could have no progress and go that day or you could have made tons of progress and still take weeks. I think they just set people up to be disappointed when they say stuff like that
Thanks all, I appreciate the good vibes! Just got back from the appointment, and I'm 2.5 cm dilated and 80% effaced, so she feels confident in my progression. We had a chat about how far she's comfortable with letting me go (since this weekend marks my original July 17th due date), and she offered to sweep my membranes so we went ahead and did that. There's no promise that the sweep will do anything, but she said for some women it works well, so we will continue to think good thoughts. She is the doctor on call this weekend, so I'd LOVE to go, but I'm doing my best to be patient and let nature take its course. Thanks again for all the positive thoughts and I'll be sure to let you all know if anything happens!
Oh, and Kyle took me to DQ for a blizzard as consolation for no baby today. Epic win.

And just to add, I had my membranes stripped w/ Jake and it didn't work, but they did it w/ Katie and I went into labor that night!
