Brew at the Zoo

was so much fun!!

I definitely recommend it if you like beer and like trying new ones...

I was astonished at how not insanely crowded it was, as I expected a zillion people since it was sold out.  There was really never a wait for a tasting, the pours were EXTREMELY generous, and there were some great beers and breweries that I had never heard of and probably would have never tried otherwise.

There was a fun band, games (which I sucked so bad at that they gave me a free t-shirt anyway) and of course plenty of beer to get you happily buzzed (or loaded, in  the case of my DH - it was his birthday outing).  My only complaint is that I will say that the food offerings were a little lacking - I had thought that there would be more choice and there were REALLY long food lines - but we had eaten beforehand at Tacklebox in Cleveland Park so it wasn't that big of a deal til I had to stand in line for 30 minutes to get DH french fries in an effort to sober him up a bit Surprise

I'll definitely go back next year, and totally recommend it to anyone who likes their beer!

Re: Brew at the Zoo

  • We went for several years and enjoyed it. Even I--who doesn't like beer--have a good time. Even better (but pricier) is Zoofari.
