Back from Vacation
HI Ladies,
I just got home from my vacation to CA to see my family. DH and I decided at the last minute that I would go alone for the first few days to give us some time apart. I had a nice time seeing family. He had some time to think about what our marriage needed to survive. Then we met up and went to my family picnic. Just those few days apart made a huge difference. We both feel refreshed and ready to put the time and energy into our relationship. Things have been good. I finally am hopeful that we will be OK. It has been an extremely rough year, and I am hopeful and optimistic for the coming year.
Baby Greenbean is doing great(at least as far as I know), thank goodness. We go for our NT scan Tuesday at 12 weeks 1 day. I am really looking forward to seeing him/her again. I also just scheduled a private ultrasound for Aug 1, to determine sex. WOOHOO!

Glad to hear that your vacation went well! I think sometimes a few days away from each other (as in you and DH) can really make a difference. I know whenever I go to my parents for the weekend by myself, I am always itching to get back to my man :-) It's always kind of refreshing. I hope you guys are able to continue working on your relation!
And that is super exciting about your NT scan Tuesday!! I'll be looking forward to seeing pictures :-) How many weeks will you be on Aug 1st? We were able to determine gender through 3d ultrasound at 17 weeks pretty easily.
Glad the trip went well and that your relationship has taken a turn for the better. DH and I joke that the reason that houses have so many separate rooms is so that you can separate when you feel like you're going to kill each other. Honestly, even though you love your man, sometimes a day or two apart is just what the doctor ordered; "you" time is just as important as "us" time. Glad to hear the kiddo is doing well, too!
