We have a pear tree in the back and they're starting to look pretty ripe. What do you do with pears besides just eat them plain? I've never heard of pear pie or pear cobbler or anything like that...

Well...this won't help you to get rid of ALOT of pears, but this is a fabulous salad using pears, toasted walnuts and bleu cheese!

A guy I work with makes it for food days, and it's always a hit..
I think it's a "soft cheese", so probably not

It's SO good and even better than applesauce IMO. I freeze it too and works great.
I can't wait for my parents pear tree to be ready. Yummm.
