Re: AW/Vent/Confession Friday...
I was just looking through an album on FB of photos from DH's trip to Haiti that one of his fellow group members posted. It makes me very thankful for what we have.
This is an ambulance in the part of Haiti they were in. The men walked an hour each way to get this person.
AW: I've been trying to lose weight and have been having a hard time keeping an "acurate" record of what I eat each day, but the last two weeks I have been writing everything down and am pretty proud that I have kept within my calorie limit
my goal is 30lbs by Christmas...now I just need to go by a home scale, I hate using the one at the gym.
Vent: Today is my day off and DH always gives me a list of things that I need to get done, like a call in to the insurance company etc. But whenever I give him some things to do on his day off and I am at work all he does is sit around or go fishing! I am sorry, I really would like to do what I want to do on my day off.
Confession: I love my job but have been under a lot of stress lately with things I can't control. I have been looking into other things/jobs, but I know I won't leave because even with the stress I still love my job and can't seem to find anything I would rather do. I just hate not having control.
AW: Our new carpet is being installed right now! I can't wait to go home and see it. I am hoping my color selections turn out favorably.
Vent: I want nothing more then to go home after work and eat pizza and drink beers with H after work...but alas, my in-laws are here and I have to entertain tonight. It's been such a long few weeks at work and being gone the past 3 weekends I just want to do nothing.
Confession: I brought a "healthy" lunch from home, but am debating on going to get an overpriced, not as healthy sandwich instead.

AW: I got nothing, except that my hair looks exceptionally good today.
Vent: I have to go to WIsconsin this afternoon for a court hearing on my bio-dad's estate because my step-mother is being a royal pain in the ass.
Confession: I spent all day yesterday watching the first 7 Harry Potter movies with some girlfriends and then went to the midnight showing of the new one.
AW: I love my new "Emma Watson" hair cut I got this week. My business is rocking.
Vent: Oh cow! I don't have one. That may be a first.
Confession: I have been kind of a slacker about cleaning our house.
AW: I don't really have anything that isn't baby related right now:/
Vent: I seriously wish I could figure out my life career-wise. I'm tired of feeling like I wasted a bunch of money on two degrees, not even knowing how I want to use them. And I want to feel like I can financially help our family.
Confession: This is going to sound pretty weird, but Sally Field's voice makes me want her to tuck me in bed and read me a bedtime story
I've always loved her voice, but I think I've been watching too many episodes of Brothers and Sisters and I've gone nutty.
AW: I finally got Firefox on my work computer. Before we had an old version of IE that would not allow me on TN but it would allow me on TB. And on another note, tomorrow is my first day off in 11 days! Bring on the weekend!
Confession: Our dog threw up 4 times yesterday. And instead of cleaning the spot we just cut the carpet out. We are ripping out the carpet and replacing it in the next 2 weeks...yep, call us lazy. LOL
Vent: Nothing ever sounds good to eat, I am so sick of trying to think of things to cook for dinner. It doesn't help that DH is a meat and potatoes kind of guy.
I can't say I blame ya! :-) Dog vomit is icky.

I was worried about Renzo being home all morning while lots of thunder was going on. He likes to cuddle up close during thunder and while I don't want him to be scared I LOVE cuddle time!!!
Vent - our front window in the living room leaks whenever it rains hard, partially because the gutter seam is faulty right above it. So now we're window shopping. This is our first BIG home improvement, and I'm nervous and irritated about the cost of it.
Just finished summer baking class yesterday - yay! But in the MONTH since school ended I had a few things go missing out of my kitchen labs. This pisses me off to no end. I lost about half a set of brand new silverware last fall. I have to pay for this stuff out of my budget. I know it's a public classroom, but I need those 6 liquid measuring cups that vanished this past June. And NO ONE ever asks if they can borrow things.
