I had a chance to look through the other posts on your blog today. Cute house! I don't know why you don't want to keep the stripper bathroom...it is so...um...charming 
It is funny to read your blog because we are the same couple looking for a house, just a few months behind you I have a ton of photos of other people's houses from our tours on my computer. I'm hoping to be able to AW one soon (we are "this" close to coming to a deal on a REO).

The stripper bathroom looks even worse now. I pulled down all the border to discover that there used to be another border there. The previous owners took down the old border, but left the glue residue, then painted over it. I've been painstakingly sanding it inch by inch while cursing them.
