So my Dad called me yesterday at around 7PM and I didn't get home until 8PM. When I called him back he told me my Mom was in the hospital. Considering I'm PMSing right now (sorry TMI) and it's my momma I started crying hysterically.
APPARENTLY SHE HAS BEEN IN THE HOSPITAL SINCE WEDNESDAY.
He said they didn't call me until now because they didn't want me to worry. UGH. Apparently her right arm went numb and she felt like a rock was on her chest. They've ruled out any problems with her heart but when I talked to her she mentioned her gallbladder. She's been having problems with her gallbladder so they think that might be it. They are doing more tests today but she stayed overnight in the hospital again. She is suppose to be getting out of the hospital today. I haven't called her yet this morning to she how she is doing. She vaguely mentioned she might be getting some minor surgery to remove "something" (gall bladder maybe? I dunno, her voice was really hard to understand)
So needless to say I DON'T want to be at the office right now, I want to be with my momma. T&Ps would be highly appreciated that she is fine and/or they find out what is wrong with her and it's not serious.
Re: T&Ps Please
And it is completely normal to react the way you did. She is your mother and noone can change that. Is there anyway that you can get out of the office early today to go be with her?
I'll be thinking about you today! Keep us posted on how your mom is doing.

Aw, Mandah, I'm sorry sweetie. ((((((HUGS)))))). I'm sure everything will be fine, but I can understand how hard it must be to be sitting at work when someone you love is in the hospital; been there, done that. Can you call your Dad to ask him exactly what is going on?
If she does have to have her gallbladder removed from what I understand it's a common surgery and with some dietary changes she'll be pretty normal. I'll be keeping you and your family in my thoughts!
T&Ps for mama!!! It sounds like she's going to be okay and I hope it remains that way.
p.s. My family does this to me all. the. time. Like because I live in another state you don't need to tell me when someone is ill or hospitalized??? I pitched a huge fit about it and now they are better about keeping me in the loop.
I'd cry too & be a basket case all day. I'm keeping you & your mom in my prayers. Parents getting older sucks! ::HUGS::

I would be furious with my parents if they didn't call me immediately! Sounds like you're boss has a decent heart to let you go see your mom. I'll be saying lots of prayers that everything turns out ok. Keep us posted

Ugh I am so sorry hun. Ts and Ps to your mom.
I hate when parents hide things "because you will be worried". My parents are the same exact way. It is always with the best of intentions.
I hope that she figures out whats going on ASAP. And that she gets better and home soon!
