Bekkah

Guess who's coming to Hotlanta in 2 weeks!

Me, H, and H's sexy best friend are coming to the big drum corps show at the Georgia Dome the last Saturday in July.  I know we're going to get a hotel somewhere so we can go out a bit afterwards, but we haven't gotten that far yet.  Is there a metro station close to the dome and does it run all night?  I'm thinking it will be much cheaper for us to get a cheap hotel outside the city and just ride in and out.

Re: Bekkah

  • Just butting in to say you're lucky that you can go to shows where they are finished with all of their drill etc.  Usually everyone leaves by the first week of July around here, so we're always out of luck :(

  • :(  I sowwy.  I really wish they'd start moving finals around the country again so that it'd be more fun to travel to it.  This is the 3rd time we'll have seen it in Indy, and I'm a little over it.

We always used to go to the Louisville show, which was the first weekend out so no one would have their stuff done then.  But since it was the closest one to us, we didn't have many options!

  • YAY!!!

Yes, there is a MARTA (our train system) station super close to the dome and plenty of hotels all along the route.

OR... if you want you can stay with Steve and me. We live about 1.5 miles from the train station and we have a guest bedroom. It only has a twin bed and an air mattress, but it's free and you are welcome to it. :)

ETA: I forgot to include that yes, the trains do run all night. There are less of them in the wee morning hours, but they still run at least one every 15 minutes.

  • Thanks for the info.  And as much as I would love to bunk with you guys, I doubt that all 3 of us will fit in one bed. (Even though that would be AWESOME for me!!)
