do you use soap down there?
i always use ivory soap down there. i have used other soaps but i like ivory the best because it doesnt irritate and it seems to make me feel fresher longer. so i decided i wanted to stop using bar soaps as liquids are so much quicker. i bought some ivory body wash but it was really perfumy and kind of irritated - it definitely wasnt a liquid version of their bar soap. so that made me think to google to see if it's safe to wash down there with body wash. what i found is that doctors recommend you only use warm water - no soap at all. i have never tried this and had actually never heard that before. i mean i know you are not supposed to douche but no soap? so i guess i am wondering do you guys use soap too or just water? if you use the latter did you switch from soap or did you always just use water?

Re: do you use soap down there?
Me too. I do wash the front and the butt, but I don't go all up in there. Basically I avoid the pee hole and the other hole. I can't figure out a way to say that without sounding odd, but it's definitely outsides only.
to clarify, i don't mess with the holes. i use soap on the outside and the inside, but avoid the holes.
yes it certainly seemed from the article that it was self cleaning and there would be no issues with freshness.
This. And my butt of course. lol
I use Dove bar soap and don't have any problems. But it's the only soap I CAN use. I use body wash (whatever I randomly buy - Dove, Nivea, Almay) on the rest of my body, but the Dove bar for the sensitive areas. Anything else gives me really bad irritation. Even bubble baths.
I would love to try one of those bath fizzies but I am terrified of the week of irritation I may encounter if I were to soak in a tub with anything other than plain water.
Nurses are taught the proper methods of cleaning.. I would love to see what they were taught in school.
I use Dove sensitive in bar form. I do not ever get irritated from it. I wash my inner and outer labia, clitoral area but not up in my actual vagina. Sorry if using proper terms offends anyone but there is no other way to actual describe the cleaning of that area... lots of parts.
