Tips for sewing stretch satin?

I'm making a costume for my friend out of stretch satin but I haven't worked with satin or any stretchy fabric before. It's a simple project that I wouldn't hesitate to do in a non-stretchy fabric.

Any tips?

Re: Tips for sewing stretch satin?

  • Lots and lots and lots of pins and take your time. If you have a rotary cutter and a self healing mat, you might find it helpful to use that. All in all, it's really not that bad. It's far easier than sewing with chiffon. Trust.
