AW: Jake is almost potty-trained!!
I feel like this is my first big victory as a mom since I Ferberized the kid ). Last Monday I just decided I was done w/ him using diapers, and I knew he was mentally and physically ready to PT. I told him the store ran out of diapers and that we had just enough left for naps & bed, but not during the day. I pulled out some of the Gerber padded undies and told him they came w/ M&M's - ever since that day, he totally prefers them to diapers and says they're so comfy. He even peed at a public restroom yesterday - I'm so proud of him! Sorry for being such an AW but I had to share.
Last week was long and crappy (no pun intended) but SO worth it in the end.

Is it bad that my kid isn't even born yet, but I'm looking forward to when it's potty trained?
I know we shouldn't compare kids, but I swear Helen is going to be the last kid around here to be potty trained.
Aww she'll get it someday! I'm always telling myself not to compare but it's impossible sometimes.
