Help for a MN Nestie?
Good Morning Ladies,
I am helping one of my good girl friends husbands plan a surprise trip for her Birthday! He was thinking Maine and I don't know much about it but from what I can tell looking online, it's something they would both enjoy!
He's looking for modest adventure and lots of relaxing. 4-7 days in Mid-August!
They are going to fly in and may rent a car if needed.
What do you ladies suggest!?

I'm not a Maine Native, so I don't know as much about what's available, but I know lots of people love Boothbay Harbor. It's pretty much postcard-Maine and it has some hiking options, sailing/boating options, shopping, and some decent food. Can be a bit of a touristy place, though-- and I'm guessing mid-August is busy and somewhat more expensive than off-season, but it's worth looking into...
I'm sure there are other ladies on this board who are more savvy...
