  I just started with a cleaning service.  They clean my townhouse (3 bedrooms, 3.5 baths) and 3 out of the 4 levels.  It's about 2000 sq ft.  (They do not do laundry or sheets/towels).

   It takes them around 3.5/4 hours and they come every other week.  She is currently charging me $100 per visit.  She had said she would do $80 if I wanted her weekly.  I think it is a little high so I am going to get an estimate from another service.

  I would love to have someone come do all the cleaning. BUT, my 11 year old service is working out well :-)  $10/week for all the floors done 2x a week, dishwasher emptied when needed, help with trash and laundry, 1 bathroom cleaned on a regular basis.

  Maybe so but I don't get bugged for money when she wants to go do something fun with her friends or wants to buy something.  It turned out to be way cheaper to give her an allowance than just give her cash for all she has been doing this summer lol.

  We have 2300 sq ft. two ladies come every other week and charge $80. they clean all rooms, mop the floors and change the sheets on all beds. Every other visit they polish the kitchen cabinets. They are supposed to wipe down baseboards and doors every visit, but I'm not convinced that they do.

  it is a good deal, but there have been a few things broken over the last couple of years. they go too fast since they are trying to get several houses done in a day. I have to wipe the baseboards and doors down myself typically to get them really clean. They do a good job overall for the price though.

  I don't use a "service" like Merry Maids but I have a cleaning lady.

  She does just about everything (blinds, fans, linens, baseboards when asked, etc.)
  

  She is here from 7:00 am until 11:30 or so

  Twice a month

  $85 for a 4900 square foot home.  I am lucky.
