Poll: If You Won The Lottery...
Re: Poll: If You Won The Lottery...
This is a really good point. Initially I think we'd tell immediate family and a few select friends but I think something would become apparent over time and eventually more people would find out.
Yeah... I'd tell family, friends, etc but I wouldn't publicly announce it to newspapers or anything.
& I'd definitely tell my boss when I quit my fuckings job.
Yeah, you'd see my face on the news smiling from ear to ear.
I'd have a new address, a po box, new phone numbers, new email addresses, probably wouldn't log in to my FB account again...I'd be fine.
DH and I talked about that after one of the powerball winners a few months ago bought their ticket in an adult shop, lol. I think it was Illinois, and the law there states they have to allow the publicity if they win, so haha! We were laughing at all the explaining that person may have had to do.
Assuming it was enough to worry about begging letters and such, I really wouldn't care. I'd hate the publicity, but it kinda comes with the territory. Maybe I'd hire someone part time just to go through my mail. Either way, I'd be living a much different life, so it would be pretty obvious that SOMETHING happened.
