Re: What did you do this weekend?

  • Friday- went to Lia Sophia bingo. Said I wasnt buying anything. I bought stuff AND booked a party. Came home and dreamt about a ring so added that to my order on Saturday AM. Also didnt sleep because I was home alone and the doorbell kept ringing and no one was there.

Saturday- breakfast at Cracker Barrel with Mom, saw HP 7.2, then spent 8 hours working on my anniversary gift for Andy which is now finished!

Sunday- woke up and Andy decided he was going to seal the driveway. Went to home depot, came home and realized the breaker had tripped in the garage and our whole freezer had thawed. I made meatballs and chicken wings and ribs all afternoon to freeze. Gave some meat to my mom for them to eat. Proceeded to have to clean my house whilst cooking because Andy invited his family over to eat 20 lbs of chicken and I hadnt been expecting guests. Andy passed out in the driveway from heat exhaustion/dehydration so had to take a break to help him. Then FIL came over to supervise Andy as well as my cooking because I clearly didnt know what I was doing. Went to the store to get vegetables since all I had was MEAT and left my purse at the store. Turned the grill on to cook and ran out of propane. And MIL drove her car through their living room yesterday as well.

In conclusion. I need another weekend, please and thank you.

  • We spent most of the weekend driving back to WA from CA. 17 hours total 2 of which were stuck in traffic about 45 miles from home, gah.

Phoenix got to meet the rest of my extended family on Saturday. Also, she took her first real unassisted steps and averages between 2 and 6 each attempt now. That was exciting.

  • Wow Stees, that's quite a Sunday.  I'm sorry all of that happened and hereby grant you a make up weekend day.

We watched HP 7.1 Friday after grocery shopping and made butterbeer.

Saturday we got up and fought an enormous crowd at 8am before HP 7.2, which I was disappointed in (this is a subject for another post).

Yesterday I shopped for a wallet and found nothing I like.

  • I had a fun weekend!

Had SP parties Thursday night and Saturday afternoon (my first b-party, SO much fun!!!).  Both went really well, excited to go deposit some extra monies in the bank today.

Went and saw HP 7.2 Friday night, loved it.  Was bummed about a few things they changed, but overall, still loved it.  Cried several times.  Even H asked when we could go see it again.

Saturday night, went out to our new favorite wine bar to celebrate a successful SP weekend.  Had a live piano man, which was super fun.

Pulled weeds and got caught up on blogging most of yesterday.  Caught up on some DRVed stuff and relaxed most of the evening.

Do you have a wireless doorbell? We have one and apparently so does a house a few down from us. They run a daycare and, well, our bell goes off a gazillion times in the morning between 7-10 and in the afternoon from 3-5. We now only plug in the ringer box thing when we know someone will be coming over or expect a UPS/Fed-Ex delivery.

Ninth Anniversary 2500 Comments 25 Love Its Name Dropper

Friday/Saturday was our mini-vacay to Cleveland with our best man and his wife. Wife's dad lives an hour SE of Cleveland, so we went there first to drop off their two boys for an overnight trip. Road tripping with small children was an experience. Every time the toddler had a fit our friends would ask if we still wanted to have kids. We ended up telling them our news thanks to us going to a restaurant (Melt) with 100+ beers on tap and I ordered Abita root beer. They were so thrilled for us they both cried. :) We went out that night downtown to an Irish Pub and a chocolate bar. Then we spent all day Saturday driving back home with the screaming, teething toddler. DH was rapping along to the alphabet song and I can't count the number of times we sang "The wheels on the bus". It was at least 7, I'm pretty sure.

Yesterday I had the most boring day at work ever. We had hardly any patients in my area. I usually have up to 11 in that area, and I never had more than 4 at a time. It was ridiculous.

Today we ran some errands, I have a doctor's appointment for my new primary care doctor, and tonight we're doing dinner with the ILs for DH's birthday.

  • Friday: Nothing...and it was nice.

Saturday: We got up to cut the grass (I mow, he weed eats). About halfway through, a guy comes up to Danny and says he ran out of gas down the street and wanted to know if we had any. He would fill the can back up and be back in 10 minutes. Danny--being the nice guy that he is--gave the guy our gas can which had about 2.5 gallons. So I run out of gas in the mower with about 20 sq. yards left to cut and the guy isn't back with the gas can. About an hour later, Danny realizes he's been had and the guy isn't coming back. Confused Some people. That night we went bowling with BIL & his g/f. They got engaged last week and I couldn't be happier. I LOVE g/f[iancee], and having her around has really made BIL grow up and start being reliable and stable. Then we went to Wal-Mart to get Danny a bike so we could start trail riding---like we planned 2.5 years ago.

Sunday: We were supposed to bike ride, but monster cramps and headache (plus being awake with Buddy all night due to his rash) kept us at home. So we went to town to get Buddy some hydrocortisone lotion and a new gas can then finished the yard work.

Today: Danny took today off and we decided to take our bike ride since Buddy's vet appointment is at 7:50 tonight. So we went to my mom's to hop on the trail and before we even got to the trail Danny's chain pops off his bike. Apparently the chain is bent. We didn't notice this when we bought it because it just sounded like it was in the wrong gear; nope it was broken. So we walked the bikes back to my mom's and Danny drove angrily to Wal-Mart to get a new bike. Then we came home and are now counting down the hours/minutes until I take Buddy to the vet. Poor little guy is absolutely miserable.

  • We were in Maine for the weekend, and other than the heat and forgetting our suitcasse at home, it was a good trip.
