Monday

It's Monday and I'm going back to work. The one good thing about being stuck at a hospital all last week? I slept like a freakin' baby last night in my bed and getting up this morning was a cinch. Hoping it's a good omen for the rest of my day.

Jeremy gets his staples out tomorrow afternoon so I'm headed back to my parents either tonight or in the morning (depending on work) and then we'll both be back home.

Uneventful weekend, besides both sisters being there Saturday with their kiddos and then left right after supper and left me to clean up the messy kitchen at my parents (parents were gone to cousin's wedding). Thanks guys, 'preciate that!

Hope everyone else had a great weekend!

Re: Monday

  • glad you got some sleep last night and that J's staples will come out tomorrow.  poor guy :(

i had a wild.wild.weekend.  there were shots, men, free limos, more men, more shots, etc.  i stayed out until 4 am with my friends at foxwoods on saturday night for my friends' bachelorette party.  it was insane.  good thing granny only parties like that once a year :)

slept 3 hours in the car yesterday, went to bed at 9 last night, and STILL could have slept another 4 hours this am I think!

  • Happy monday all!

I was sick....all.....weekend. Sad  Pretty sure my cold/allergies are developing into a sinus infection.  Feeling a little better today, but still can't breathe.  But breathing is overrated, right?

That is the extent of the excite for my weekend.

Have a feeling I might be going home today.  We are currently working on an air conditioning crisis for campus.  Top priority is always the hospital and animals (research univeristy) and then people.  So if there isn't enough to go around after the hospital and animals are taken care of, we'll get sent home.

    That's all for now ladies!

  • I am sooooo tired this morning! Why did the Red Sox Rays game go 16 innings. I want it to be a clear winner by like the 7th so we could go home early. 8pm Sunday game+pregnant=not ok. Well of course it was tied 0-0. We stayed till the middle of the 11th, listen to the game on the way home, watched it as I was going to bed, fell asleep not knowing who won the game. At least I did get to see someone run on the field, that was kinda awesome!

We had a good weekend. Friday Greg had to work late so I met him at work. Saturday we worked during the day, watched the Sox game, and hung out with friends.

  • Morning all. It's Monday and hubby went to work early this morning. :( Our weekend was mostly uneventful.

Friday was a date day for Hubby and I. He took the day off, so we ran a few errands, played a round of mini golf (we tied), had a yummy lunch (a hot dog house that we love) and went to see Horrible Bosses (pretty funny!). Took my dad to dinner for his 50th! birthday, and went to see the hot air balloons launch. So much FUN.

Saturday the heat took over and we basically just sat around the house.

Sunday we went to town for basically no reason (oops), but had some awesome BBQ Chicken pizza for lunch and dropped off some custom wall words for my cousin. Excited to see pictures of them on her wall soon!

This whole week is forcasted to be insanely hot and humid, so I am hoping to just hang around the house for the most part. Working on my business cards and etsy shop stuff... maybe cleaning the bathroom that really needs it and stuff like that... Whoo. sorry for the long book today.

  • Morning!  H and I had a nice weekend.  Pretty low-key, it was hot so Saturday afternoon we went out for Coldstone Ice Cream =).

I am nervously optimistic about a new job position I am applying for at a different company.  I have an interview tomorrow at 9AM.  Wish me luck!  I just spoke with the recruiter who scheduled the interview this morning, and when she asked me what I am looking for in terms of a salary, I told her what I am currently making and she said "well, you'll be doing quite a bit better here."  Good sign, I guess!  Not only because of the better salary, but the way she worded it.  She seems to really like my resume, so hopefully this works out.  I am looking to advance my career and this would definitely be a step up with even further room for growth.

  • This weekend was busy but good (and way too short!). Saturday morning I started painting our bathroom around 7:30am and once the bathroom was done (after two coats because of a light color going over beige walls), I moved onto painting our hallway with the same color as the living/dining area. I finished with everything around 2pm (this includes about 45 minutes to 1 hour away) and was exhausted. I have to paint the trim white & then I'll call it done (for now).

Yesterday, I met up with a running group and we hit a trail that was absolutely beautiful. I was tired during that run and sore from painting but felt really good after. It was also the first birthday for one of my cousin's kids. So food was good and Dos Equis tasted even better from the keg. I crashed around 10pm last night.

Today I'm hoping to take the dog on an easy run or walk or run/walk and we're supposed to be getting in the high 80's this week, yay for summer.

  • I'm glad Jeremy will be back home this week!

Three day week for me! Read 'em and weep mofos!

Is it insane that I have anxiety about having to stay with my inlaws this week? I know things will be fine, but I worry that ahole SIL will pop in down there and stay which will force a major confrontation since we will leave.

We had a good weekend. Couponing party with the ladies Friday night then sat out back with MFD until 1 a.m. Saturday we did hours of yardwork and ripped hedges and bushes out. Still a lot more to do, but it looks a zillion times better. We had a great dinner with my parents, brother and his girlfriend at a lovely new restaurant and were sacked out by 11 on Saturday night. Sunday I putzed around, did laundry, washed both couches, cut up fruit, made grocery lists, and then we visited SIL & BIL and kids. We went swimming and had a lovely meal on their deck.

Lots to do at work and home before leaving for the shore!

  • We had a festival in town that was only a few blocks away, but I had no desire to deal with people. Friday night after work (11) I poured a glass of wine, grabbed a book and sat outside listening to the live music. Saturday DH and I worked in our garden and then went to the beach to spend our afternoon. Came home and grilled steaks, ribs, and corn and then made smores over the hot coals left in the grill. Of course we also enjoyed some ice cold beverages while listening to the live music again.

It has been ungodly hot here this weekend with excessive heat warnings, which is supposed to continue through out this week. I worked at the restaurant yesterday for 10 hours and our ac isn't working on one side of the restaurant. It was 92 on one side and 75 on the other. I actually lost two pounds while at work because I was sweating so much. Ick...seriously hate that my boss doesn't care about his employees enough to have it fixed right away. And I work again tonight.

Tomorrow is a planned beach day with DH...so looking forward to it. I might even sneak out there today before work if possible. :)

That game was ridiculous!! Sam and I were watching it last night and all I could do is think to myself, "both these teams are on the east coast, it's like 1 am!!! AND STILL 0-0"

Our weekend was good and relaxing. We went up with our friends to their cabin in Kings Beach, Tahoe. We ate lots of bacon, drank lots of absinthe and enjoyed being away from everything.

and Japan won the world cup, which made me really happy. I cried.

Kaz, you make me laugh, re: eating lots of bacon.  That seems like a nice weekend!  Mmmmm.

Had a busy busy weekend.  Met my BFF/bridesman's son (5) for the first time on Saturday.  He lives in DC and is visiting this summer for the first time.  He's adorable, and only melted down a little.  It must be hard for him to be away from his mom and have different rules enforced, like that he's got to eat normal dinner, not just dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets.

Sunday we went sailing on SF Bay with my parents (this was a gift for my dad) and uncle and his partner.  Went to brunch afterwards, and everybody but me had a real drink, including H getting a bellini.  Yum!  Uncles were like, oh, you're not drinking?  (Duh.)  How quaint.  You know, all our mothers drank, and we're fine!  Thanks for the advice, guys, but I'll hold off.

Emily, glad Jeremy will be home soon!  Sending you both good vibes that he continues to heal quickly, as I'm sure he's anxious to start FD training.
