people, you're killing me!! degrassi is like every teenage drama they show here...but on steroids. EVERYTHING dramatic happens...pregnancies, school shootings, lots of hooking up, drugs, people struggling with their sexuality, right now there's a transgendered kid. it's epic.
it's basically about this school is toronto, degrassi community school. and every year there are so characters that graduate and leave and new ones come in...it's GLORIOUS.
apparently it used to be on in the 70's and 80's, as the kids of degrassi street, then degrassi junior high, then degrassi high. the one that's on now is degrassi the next generation, and the season that's on now is 11 i think.
(i totally wikipedia-ed it, i don't know all the stats off the top of my head).

I'm with you, Hayley. I used to watch degrassi junior high ALL.THE.TIME. The crazy drama was amazing.
Knowing that there are adults who haven't heard of degrassi just makes me feel old.....

this is totally throwing me for a loop here! I watched some of the most RANNNNNNDOM isht back in the day. I remember after school speacials, to tween soaps to cartoons... But this one totally passed me by! What channel did it used to come on? That might help me figure it out.

teen nick is totally bringing back a block of shows we watched, i think it's midnight to 2am or something, but they're supposed to be showing all the awesome 90's shows we loved.

Does anyone remember Fifteen? It was a teen soap opera on Nickelodeon. I used to LOVE that show!

with baby ryan reynolds!! i used to not be allowed to watch it, because i was like 10 or 11, and it was fifteen...i used to watch it with the sound way down, and then just hit the last button on the remote if my mom came home!

I confess that I made the horrific mistake of thinking that teennick was cool for my EIGHT year old to watch. It isn't. It isn't AT ALL.
omg, are you afraid of the dark will be on!! to this day, i'm still a little freaked out by the memories of some of the episodes. but i LOVED me some gary back in the day.
