Baltimore/Camden Yards ?

Hello ladies...

I just managed to get ahold of a couple of tickets for tomorrow night's Orioles/Red Sox game...

Anyone know the parking situation up there?  I won't be able to leave Silver Spring til at least 4, so I know it will be a battle with either driving or taking MARC - which I understand has a stop right out front....

If you were me, and your magic teleporter were broken, how would you get up to the game?  I believe it starts at 705p.

(Embarrassingly enough, I am celebrating my two year anniversary of living here and have never stepped foot into Baltimore.)  Any help (or recs for bars, of course) is greatly appreciated!!

  • Every time I've gone to Camden Yards, I take MARC. So much easier, plus then you can drink at the game and not have to worry about driving back.

Yah, that seemed like the best way to go for sure.

Of course, I just realized that I screwed up and can't go to the darn game.

Eh, it was fun while it lasted!!

    Crap.

    Thanks for the scoop!

  • I've never had a problem finding parking in B-more, even on game days. There are tons of parking garages. If go several blocks away from the stadium you can actually find pretty affordable parking.

I just looked on the map and the place we usually park is up S. Paca St. about 5 blocks north of the ball park, just past the intersection with W. Baltimore St. There are garages that are closer, but the price difference is like pretty big--I think the one we park is like $12, but the closer ones are $25.

Oh, that stinks. Going to Sox-Orioles games at Camden are super fun if you are a Sox fan, because Sox fans usually greatly outnumber Orioles fans.

  • too bad you can't go. I was going to say that it's super easy to find parking. We park off of Pratt Street near the Bank of America building. BOA parking is $12 and there is a garage near there that is $10. it's not a bad walk to the stadium and very easy to get back on the highway after the game.

For the future, I highly recommend drinking across from Camden Yards before a game. We go to the Bullpen (I'm pretty sure that is the name)- it's in the row with Pickles and a few other bars. Bullpen has the guy holding the "cheap ass beer" sign. 2 beers for $5. We always buy some extras to take to the game with us (DH wears cargo shorts to games).
