Our bean was born on 05-19-11
Unfortunately, she has ALWAYS been this way. Her husband died about two weeks after i started in February of 2010 and since then, she's gotten worse. Everybody walks on eggs shells with her because his death seriously messed her up. I have been more than accepting of her shittty behavior because of that. I'm done playing nice now though. She seriously bullies all of the office associates/coordinators (there are about 25 in our department) and I'm the only one who sticks up for my self. The big boss (her direct boss) sees her act this way and is totally passive and avoids confrontation like the plague. Therefore, she continues to act like a crazy bittch.
I'm looking for a new job, which is unfortunate because I love the 6 people in my office and what I do is easy and fun. She is making my life miserable. I learned all to well in my last job that being so miserable at work is bad for your health. Life is too short to deal with this crap.

If you hadn't said that I would have said I'm sorry you have to deal with a poop face and would have asked if you've tried talking to her, maybe she needs a friend? I'm thinking you've probably already have so then I was going to say, can you tell your boss who I'm assuming reports to the big boss that this woman is making it very hard to enjoy working there? If he feels worried he might lose you b/c of her maybe he can put pressure on her boss?
We have someone exactly like that, everyone walks on egg shells and avoids having to get her to do things, her manager has sent her to training and we've had several discussions and she hasn't changed so I understand why you'd be frustrated. I just hate when one person makes several others leave.
Interview twinsies!!! Though mine is on Wed. But horray for the interview, and I really hope things do work out since it's your dream job!
And hopefully it takes you far away from co-irker.
