I'm currently using Ortho TriCyclen and have been for years now. The past six months or so I've noticed that I've started spotting in between periods which I never used to do. Also my sex drive has crashed, I just dont have any interest in sex. I'm thinking it might be time to change up my birth control. Has anyone out there tried any of the newer pills like Seasonique where you only have four periods a year? I'm interested but would like to get some user feedback as well. Anyone else having issues such as this???

PAIF/SAIF welcome!
I was put on Ortho back when I was 19 and it totally killed my sex drive! I asked to try something else immediately. I've tried a couple other ones since and I've been on Loestrin FE for the last 2 years. I absolutely love it! It doesn't stop my period all together, it just shortens it to about 2 days and it's very very light. I highly recommend it!
I had the same experience. I LOVED it. I was on it for 8 years and don't have a complaint. I think birth control is a trial and error experience and is different for everyone.
I was on the Nuva Ring for years and despite the fact you have to put it in and take it out yourself it was the only one that I can honestly say worked.... It has little to no side effects and you don't even know it's there. It's in for 3 weeks take it out for 5 days and........ I really liked it because the pills had way too much hormones! I was a mental patient and my husband called me psycho!
megs3084,
I am on Seasonale and am aslo thinking about coming off of it. Did you experience any side effects when you stopped taking it (spotting, bleeding for long periods of time, etc)? Also, how long did it take for you to get your period again (I'm sorry if that's invasive, I only ask because the pill is a 3month cycle, so I'm wondering if your body automatically goes back to a 1 month cycle or if it takes a while)?
