electric outlet behind crib
The crib is against the wall and there is a plug behind it- basically level with the mattress at the highest setting. Should we put a plate cover on there to block the switch for the time being (that would render the outlet useless)? or is it ok to use one of those childproof covers? I'm assuming we should use a solid plate for right now... what do you experienced moms recommend?
Re: electric outlet behind crib
Thanks- we only have one usable wall though- it's not the best set-up but we're making it work until we get the hell out of dodge (and get ourselves to Maine!)
ditto
We have a outlet covers that block the outlet but they still can be used with the cover. They have them at Lowes. They are similar to this...

We have one very similar to this and it works great. We also have a breathable mesh bumper that's always been on the back part of the crib (even though we removed the other ones) and it blocks the outlet cover, so our little guy won't try and figure out how to take it apart since it's out of sight too.
