  • I took M to Cool Cuts 4 Kids.  She had a ball.  The bad thing is most of the places that have the videos and such for the kids butcher their hair. :-

  • Cool cuts 4 kids. Not that I have experience, but they are trained to handle small children & they have toys to keep LO distracted.
  • for my kids' 1st haircuts, i took them to my own hairdresser. this is the only way for a boy to not get a bowl cut. once she had gotten the cut that followed their natural hair pattern and looked good, i use supercuts type places to maintain it.

This is where I took dd the first time. Maria was very nice and did a great job but dd cried a lot. After that I decided to try a kid place to see if things would go better. I now go to Little lords and ladies where she sits in a little car and gets lollipops, The hairdresser is also named Maria and the candy seems to do the trick :)...

  • I did Snip Its the first few times and he was mesmorized by the bubbles and tv.  (I had a coupon for a $10 cut b/c they are pretty pricy at $17? each).  They also have animal crackers there, if you don't want to do suckers.  Now, I just take him to a place down the street (I think it's TGF Haircutters?).  At first, I would bring the iphone (for his Sesame Street) and my own bubbles, but now I figured out he will sit still through the whole thing for a sucker, so we just bring 1 dum dum.  :-)
  • Cool Cuts.  Now that he is better about getting it cut we will sometimes take him to Great Clips.  I feel that Cool Cuts usually does a better job though.
  • If you don't mind a drive we like Pigtails and Crew Cuts on Mason in Katy best.  We got Cooper's first two haircuts at Cool Cuts 4 Kids at Town and Country and it was just okay.  The haircut wasn't very good and the people weren't particularly nice but it wasn't horrible either.  P&CC is equally expensive but much nicer, the girls there are FAST too which is super important with little wiggly ones.
My big boy is bounding towards 3! Hoping to add a sibling. image Hipster dog is not impressed.
