Tonya

We are coming to DC for the day on Wednesday and taking my nephew who is 5 to the Air & Space Museum.

Typically we would park really far away at this one location in DC, but since we have two kids with us, I want to get close parking.  Are you familiar with the garages in this area? I found a couple in the area.  We are planning to get to the museum around 11AM and I'm worried all the lots could possibly be full.  Are you aware of this happening often?

Any tips would be appreciated.  We are trying to figure out if parking right there (if possible) or if taking the metro is a better option.

Re: Tonya

  • DH says the nearest garage is more than 6 blocks.  He says you should metro in to the Smithsonian stop and walk the three blocks to Air and Space.

He said you should be able to find a parking garage near L'enfant Plaza and then Metro over one stop.
