Update on my life...
Hello everyone.
I have been MIA for awhile because we have been on an emotional roller coaster and I feel like talking to you all about it.
On May 13th, I took a home pregnancy test and it turned out to be a faint positive, so I tested again on the 14th with a different kind of test and that was a definite positive. (I am not regular, so it took awhile to decide to test).
On May 27th, I had my first ob appt. and everything went well and the doctor asked if we wanted to have a dating ultrasound done (to make sure the due date was accurate). We did, saw the fetus on the tv and then the ultrasound tech turns to us and said that she couldn't see the heartbeat and that baby was measuring 7w6d (right on schedule).
We then went back and talked to the doctor about it and we decided to have another ultrasound done the next week. So on June 2nd, I went and had another ultrasound and baby hadn't grown and there was still no heartbeat.
I then decided to go ahead and have a D&C done and got in the next day. Surgery went well, a few days later I developed a fever, but the doctor said it is very unlikely to develop an infection in the uterus, but he put me on antibiotics anyway, just in case. I am feeling a lot better now though.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Miscarriage is so heartbreaking.
I'm glad to hear the the D&C went well and that they have you on antibiotics, even if it was just in case. I hope your recovery continues to go well.
I'm not sure if you'd be interested or not, but I found the miscarriage/pregnancy loss board on TB to be wonderful when I was going through my own loss. It was comforting to be around other women who were experiencing the same things I was. Later on, I found the TTC After Loss board to be great as well (lurk first & read their blog).
