1. Finished: I already AW the UGA refashion shirt to dress. Other than that, nothing craft related.

3. CR rants/raves/comments: I took my smocking class on Saturday. I was the only "non-Grandma" in the group. I am not sure if I have the patience for smocking
We'll see if I pick up speed with practice.
4. NCR rants/raves/comments: We are "this close" to coming to a deal on the house I told y'all about last week. I am hopeful that we can wrap this up this week. I want my new house (of course, then comes the stress of moving and finding a renter for this house).
My Valentine Bookends (2~13~13, 2~15~09)
1. Nothing finished. I have a strong case of start-itis right now
2. In the queue is an offset cabled sweater that is way easier than I first imagined. I finished the back last night and have started the front. It's in a lilac color, I can't wait to finish it.
3. I have too many projects and not enough time. And I took on a freelance project last week, which will cut into my knitting time

1. Finished: 3 crocheted infinity scarves, finally the two baby blankets
2. In the queue: A tunic by Sew Liberated. I've got the pattern traced - I just need to start cutting the fabric.
3. CR rants/raves/comments: I wish I had a bigger budget! There's so much cute fabric and I need to make more reusable bags. Mine have disappeared to who-knows-where.... It seems like a lot of friends are pregnant these days and I think now that I've made one baby present, people are going to expect them from me.

2. I have no idea. I'm window shopping for fall clothing inspiration, though- having fun!
3. I really love my double needle- it makes for such nice hems and sleeves on knits! It's replaced my ruffler foot on my Janome.

2. In the queue: Finishing up the metro quilt top this week. There's no reason I can't be done by next Monday, I have 4 full sized squares and 4 half sized squares to go. Then, I must find someone to do embroidery on my circles for me (anyone want to help a nestie out?)
3. CR rants/raves/comments: I bought snips yesterday and they're freaking awesome.
4. NCR rants/raves/comments: I could have had my quilt top done, except that I hurt my neck Thursday in my sleep and it actually hurts to even have my head upright. Bending over the sewing machine was an impossibility. Thankfully I have yoga tonight and a massage tomorrow, so we'll see if I can get straightened out. If not, I'm going to search for a chiropractor.

I HAVE to embroider a hanky, though, for a friend's sister's wedding. I also cut out the parts for a stuffed owl yesterday. Also, promised my 32 year old that I would make all of the angry birds plushies so he can play with my Gson.

I've got nothing crafty to talk about as I haven't worked on any projects for a few weeks now. I needed a break.
We got 100+ inches last year (I am in Northern IN, near South Bend). It was epic. I love snow

My first check in - also coming out of lurking for this board!
1. Finished - Just this morning finished pj pants and top

3. Rants - I'm having a blast coming back to sewing after a 10ish year hiatus. However, remembering how to do everything, or learn it for the first time is frustrating.
4. I hate cleaning and i just did a vacuum of the entire house and now I have to go to my business and clean it. Which will take at least 2 hours. FML.
Happy Birthday Gabriel!! I have a Gabriel that will turn 4 in exactly 2 weeks. It's crazy how fast time flies!
This is my first check-in:

2. Working on crocheting a very large afghan and hope to start working on two smaller ones for my two little ones.
3. I've figured out the laying your new yarn over the row your working on and naturally weaving in the ends!!! I am so excited I can't even tell you!
4. My youngest is driving me crazy. She is just sooooo strong willed. The crazier thing is I seem to be really wanting another now.

2. In the queue: I went and bought the materials for a bench pad.
3. CR rants/raves/comments: I'm super excited, because DH and I were going to go buy a storage bench to store our shoes in. This weekend, we found a storage bench/toybox at a garage sale down the street. We got it for 10 dollars!! Now, we just have to sand and paint it. Then, I am making a bench pad for it. Yay!

1. Finished - nothing recently.
2. In progress - argyle quilt - I have the diamonds pieced and am about halfway done with sewing down the ribbon stripes. Then I just need to add the borders and the top is done! I hope to have the top finished next weekend.
Girl Scout quilt - I pieced the center block with 100 shades of green. It looks amazing. I now need to get the trefoil shape copied large enough so I can cut it out and then applique it to the backing fabric. I also decided on the blocks for the rest of the quilt (just a simple striped block that I'll place alternating), and I cut most of the fabric for that this weekend.
Wee Woodland charm pack quilt. I have the pieces cut and got fabric for the sashing.
Owl quilt - no progress made at all.
3. CR rants/raves/comments: I think I want a new sewing machine for quilting as my old one is great for piecing but not quilting. And I am addicted to fabric. DH is going to start to notice soon.

1. Finished: I finished a cute little pullover for me (I'll AW about it in a minute) and just today I finished a lacy scarf, but I need to block that out before I post pictures

Knitting Blog
Updated 3-12
1. Finished: an empire waist top- just had to sew in the zipper and hem. Made progress on pinwheel baby blanket for a friend and on jaywalker socks.
2. In the queue:baby blanket, jaywalkers, another pair of socks (half a sock left of the pair), and I'm working on remaking 2 lilly pulitzer purchases from ebay- short sleeved button down shirt and short sleeved dress are both too small. I took the sleeves off the dress and will use them to make gussets down the side seam to enlarge the dress and I was using grosgrain ribbon to make gussets in the shirt, but they're puckering and not quite wide enough. This gusset thing isn't as easy as I thought it'd be! I also need to take in the belly and let out the bust of a tunic top that was listed on ebay as a medium but turned out to be maternity small. I was pretty mad about the mistake the seller made, but it's a beautiful top and too much of a hassle to fight with the seller over it (she's pretty angry with me for telling her she was wrong about the size!).

I'm also hoping to start a lace shawl this week (the socks are just too boring right now) and my friend was going to give me a pattern last week for a lace and beaded cardigan but she forgot.

CR rants/raves/etc... signing up for the silhouette workshop at the Paper-Source. And Dh said if I can cut my monthly crafting expenses, I'll be able to buy the Silhouette ;D
NCR... My Velcro pup needs to chill. it's hard to sew when she keeps licking my feet! ok, so that was SCR, but that's when she's most annoying!

2. In the queue: I have a partial fall table topper, a completed but needs quilting Christmas table topper, another Christmas one that needs a little appliqu? then quilting (but I bought it year ago and finally did it this week), and I started an appliqu?. I've taken a couple quilting and appliqu? classes that has left me with started but not finished. These are first on my list before cutting up anything else. The to be cut pile is extensive.
3. CR rants/raves/comments: The closest fabric store closed its doors and the quilt shop I'm now hooked on is 40 minutes away.
4. NCR rants/raves/comments: DS needs at least one trip back upstairs to be reminded it is bedtime. He calls down upset that "I saw a sound" which was adorable the first week he did it but now not so much.
