Re: PG/Mom Check-In

  • Zoe is officially harness free! Yay! We go to shriner's in a month for a follow up. :)

She has also learned how to roll from back to tummy (only in 1 direction, lol!). Since she no longer wears her harness at night, we find her all over the place in her crib. :)

I can't believe how quickly she is growing and changing. She turned 5 months old yesterday. Where has the time gone?

We are visting my in laws in CT next month. Zoe will have just turned 6 months old when we go there and I have decided not to start solids until we get back. I really hope my MIL doesn't give them to her behind my back. I don't know if you guys remember the pacifier incident when she did that. I told H that she better not do anything like that this time and he assured me she wouldn't. We are hoping to leave zoe with them for a little bit and have some alone time, but if I get the feeling she is going to do something behind my back I'm not leaving Zoe alone with her. H will say something to her, but she will go behind his back too. I love my MIL, but she just doesn't see the harm in what she does.

  • just got back from a week long vacation on the beaches of NC- it was awesome :) my belly seems to have had a growth spurt and really popped out finally.. the best thing ive experienced lately is how strong the baby has become. I can see the baby kicking and rolling around from the outside now, like a little alien in there!

Yay! I'm so happy for her!!! She's getting so big, it's crazy!

Where in CT are you going? I know you told me but I completely forgot?

Baby girl and I are doing well. It's crazy how quickly this time is flying by, I feel like I can't keep up with it. I am so excited to meet her though, November just can't come quick enough!

  • A Month from yesterday is Little Man's Due date! I can't believe he will be here so soon.

I went to the Dr on Thursday, they were concerned with my weight gain and the fact he is measuring 2 weeks ahead (from my original EDD of 08/22.) He has been measuring ahead the whole time, that is why my EDD was changed to 08/17 (or so I thought.) So now I am on 80-120oz min of water a day as well as limiting my carb intake (with my shower this past weekend, that didn't happen very well.) It was also confirmed he is head down. The ARNP who saw me was so impressed how much little man was pushing his butt out to get the doppler off my stomach (she had never experienced the powerful kicks.)

I don't go back for my group B strep until the 29th (yes a little late.) When I questioned it, I was told my office wants to keep me on track for 08/22 so that I'm not induced early which I completely appreciate. This has calmed my nerves a little more and has allowed me to have more of an open mind while working on my Birth plan since they are willing to let me hold out until 09/06 (or so without induction or C-section)

I am getting much more pelvic pressure these days and my hips are really beginning to ache. I'm hoping this is signs he is getting ready to make his arrival in the coming weeks.

  • I think I am actually due 3/17/2012, not that it matters.  and add Isaiah, age 4.  THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  So excited!!!!

  • We're doing well.  I haven't had morning sickness in a week now, so I really hope it's gone for good!  I have another appointment and ultrasound this morning, so I'm really excited (and a little nervous - I always feel paranoid until the doctor says everything is fine).

November will be here before you know it! And then you'll be saying, "my baby is 5 months old, where has the time gone?" lol!! :)

  • Kennedy is doing so well.  She's full of energy and eating more than ever.  We're a little restricted as to what we can do with her, physically.  She hasn't been able to do tummy time, and we can't lift her under her arms, etc.  It will be so nice to have all of these restrictions off her, but really it's just a relief to have surgery behind us and the fact that she did so well.  She turns 5 months tomorrow, and I've got to take her to the pediatrician for her post-op follow up.  I can't wait to see how big she is!

I was wondering what the sternal precautions would be for babies. :) How long till you can do that stuff again? Is it 6 weeks? I'm so glad she is doing so well!! :) She looks so much bigger than the last time I saw her. We have to have a playdate when you guys get the ok!

  • I hate that I don't have the nest at work anymore! UGH!

Chloe and I are doing well. I finally felt her kick for the first time in Vegas two weeks and now she is non stop! I love it. It's such an amazing feeling! We've painted the nursery and bought her furniture this weekend (although we have to wait 8-10 weeks since it's wasn't in stock). I guess that's about it!

Oh, my sister gave birth to a beautiful 5lb baby girl last Wednesday. She's perfect. I think my H is officially a little nervous now..haha. Seeing her made it more real.

It depends who you ask.  Some doctors say we could put her on her tummy now, others say a few weeks.  I'm hoping to get a more clear answer at her appt. Friday.  I'm worried about her getting behind, but I guess in the grand scheme of things it really isn't that big of a deal.  I'm just glad the surgery is over and went well.  It's not the end of the world if she doesn't sit up or crawl right on schedule.

We'll definitely plan a playdate soon!  This mama needs some adult interaction!
