**Lori**

Amanda's post about her mom, reminded me about your sister.  How is she doing?  Chemo still doing the trick?

Re: **Lori**

  • Thanks for asking Mel! Unfortunately she's not doing that great right now. She's been feeling sick for the last couple weeks - really tired with no appetite. We don't know if it's due to the cancer or the chemo. It started during one of her off weeks from chemo (she does it 3 weeks then gets a week off), so she thought it was from the cancer. But it didn't get better when she had her next treatment, so who knows. The chemo is supposedly keeping the cancer at bay - but she does still have cancer.

Another big concern right now is that my mom is completely falling apart. I have no idea how to help her or make her feel better.

  • Aw Lori, I'm sorry to hear that.  Sorry you are going through this enormously difficult time.  I wouldn't even know what to do to help my mom in that situation, either.
  • Lori,
I am continuing to pray for your sister and the rest of your family. I pray that you are given the strength and right words to say to your mom. It must be so hard for her to see her daughter go through this.

    Thinking about you!

I'm so sorry.  I'll continue to keep her in my prayers.  Hopefully you're Mom finds some peace and clarity through it all.

  • I can't imagine how difficult this must be for you and your family. Sometimes it's hardest to be "the strong one", but at the same time I'm sure you are helping your mom a lot more than you know.

This!  Hoping you and your family can find strength!  Sending many hugs and thoughts your way!
