Stand up for something you believe in.
Mary, they make it sound scary, but I know very few women who had any of those things happen. I only had some minor bleeding in the gums when flossing, as well as some extra hair growth (I got a fuzzy belly, but at least it was blonde). That's all. I was only a little nauseated in the first trimester, nothing bad.
The worst thing anyone I know has had was severe nausea and a lot of puking though I don't know if it was actually diagnosed as hyperemesis gravidarum, I don't know anyone who's had chloasma, metal mouth, torn abdominal muscles, or skin tags. Don't worry.
