Water streaks on bathroom fixtures?
We just moved into our house 2 months ago and our chrome-esque (I don't think they're real chrome) bathroom fixtures are getting water spots and streaks on them. How do I get this off of my faucet and other fixtures? Polishing with just water and a cloth isn't working and neither is windex.
My downstairs bathroom has brushed nickel and it's so easy to clean. If worse comes to worse, I told DH we may have to replace the chrome-like fixtures with brushed nickels. Any cleaning suggestions to save us from having to do this?

A water softener also helps a lot with water spots.
Edit/Addition (sorry, hit post too soon):
I know it's an expensive option, but if you're getting water spots, chances are, you have hard water, and a water softener will save your pipes and appliances from getting clogged with minerals.
Thanks for the advice ladies, I'm going to try the microfiber cloth first and see if that works!
