Have we talked about this before?
Michael chipped his front tooth last week at daycare and we took him to our regular dentist just to have it looked at. It did not go well, especially when he tried to take an x-ray. I think his tooth is fine for right now, but I am worried it might get worse in the future and I think we should probably go someone who specializes in children.
The whole thing just makes me sick to my stomach, and to have a bad visit on top of it makes it even worse.
( Does anyone have any suggestions on who to see?
Re: Pediatric Dentist?
We are taking Kellen to Walnut Hills to see Dr. Waage next month, on recommendation from some of the folks on this board.

Dr. Nick Waage at Walnut Hills Pediatric Dental! They just opened their new office in Waukee, on Hickman by McDonalds. I think this is pretty convenient given your location, but even if it wasn't the closest, its worth the drive!
Everyone I've referred to him has said what a huge difference it made for their kiddos going to him vs. their normal dentist. He and his staff are fantastic w/ children, and they have to have the most kid friendly dental environment - complete w/ a slide in the waiting room, life-sized livestock everywhere, etc. It is actually fun to go to their dentist office.

Great, thanks so much! We will definitely be checking it out.
Michael was running and holding hands with two other kids and fell on the cement sidewalk and chipped off about a 1/3 of his front tooth. It doesn't look too bad now but the dentist said it might turn gray or black and there really isn't anything they would do about it since its just a baby tooth unless it got infected. I just feel bad because he is such a good looking boy with such a nice smile and now it isn't the same.
