Tampa Theatre

After all these years living in Tampa (been here since 1995), I finally made it to the Tampa Theatre for a show.  What a neat place!  I want to go and take a tour to find out more about it.  I think they offer tours like once or twice a month.  We went on Sunday to watch Gone with the Wind.  I had a great time!

There are still a few movies left on the Summer Classic Series.  If you haven't been there, you should try and check it out.  Definitely a place to see!

Re: Tampa Theatre

  • I agree I love it, I saw my favorite artist (ray lamontagne) there and it was amazing! I also go every Christmas and watch its a wonderful life ;)
  • I love it there! I've seen lots of movies and also Ani Difranco there.

  • I adore the Tampa Theater.  They have a great selection of indie movies and other great events that just make it a wonderful place to go.  My BFF and I saw Ray there too, and we went to the Oscar Night America event 2 years ago, which was so much fun. I talk it up all the time.

  • I love TT, too.  I just wish there were more leg room.  :)

  • Kimandross introduced me to the Tampa Theatre. It's so cool!
  • H and I go there often for date night.  We just saw The Tree of Life a few weeks ago there.  That movie was crazy-weird.

And laughing at Nicole's comment... yes, more leg room would be nice.  We always sit up top and I throw my legs over the seat so no one will sit in front of me.  I can't imagine going to a packed concert in there, although I'm sure it is a great intimate feeling, but hello people in a tight space.

  • I've never been there for a show but we got a behind-the-scenes tour and got to perform skits on stage with a leadership program I completed 4 years ago.  It was awesome!  I love learning about historical places!
