has anyone been a waitress?
I have been thinking about applying to some jobs, My DH and i are trying to pay some bills off sooner and store up some money before ttc next year. What type of place did you work at? chain restaurant or something local? and what did you normally make? what hours did they normally have you work.
tia!
Re: has anyone been a waitress?
i worked as a waitress my entire college/grade school life. i waitressed the lunch shift 3 times a week (10:30-4) and a dinner shift (4- close) . i also did parties on the weekend. the money was ok. i waitressed at a local italian restaurant. it was long nights sometimes because regulars would stay and you didnt want to be rude and close them out when they were "hanging out" and the pay was ok. i made between 50-70 for lunch and 60-110 for dinner.
Hello. I've waited here for you. Everlong<3<br>
I've waitressed quite a bit --
I worked at the TGIFridays in Harriman for almost 2 years - some days were good, others not. all depends on the business that day, your hours, the section ... blahblahblah
I also worked at a local restaurant once I moved out of Orange County into Ulster - same with money...
It is for sure a good way to make some extra money but it is a weekend eater -- you almost always work fri night, sat night, and often sunday day... I didn't mind the nights SO MUCH because I was still going out drinking and partying after -- but it did often kill your days.
