XP: Stray Kitty Advice Please
So there's this stray (or maybe feral) kitty that I keep crossing paths with about a block from my house. Last night, she was crossing the street, and when I went to go up to her, she hid under a car and meowed, and wouldn't come out. As much as I'm all for rescuing strays, B and I just can't adopt another kitty right now. I'd be willing to take her in short term if I could catch her, but last night, she just seemed really scarred and not the friendliest. She's tiny and fairly unkempt, so I imagine she's been on the street for a bit. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks ladies.

Re: XP: Stray Kitty Advice Please
your vet or a local humane society might have live traps they can let you borrow so that you can at least get a hold of her. if you truly can't take her in, talk to local rescues who would be willing to help out... although be warned, it's going to be hard to find anyone taking in kittens right now being that it's "kitten season."
I hate seeing strays, especially around this time of year when it gets so hot. there's only so much you can do to try and help, and it's hard to not want to take them all in and make them better.

Exactly. I guess it's a good thing I don't live alone, or I would take them all in and go broke doing so. There must be a good place for them to hide within a block or so from where I found this one, because it's only about a block from where we found Iko last year.
As an update, I left a message for the local no kill shelter. Hopefully, they'll give me a call back with some ideas for catching her and getting her into a TNR program or into an adoption program.
